We stayed on the 24 of June, 2012 the facility was a strong 3 star. Clean great help at in house travel desk nd the the breakfast included is one of the very best, it had everything. You will get no better a location. Room had just been renovated and although plain had everything just missing air conditioning which they did without request bring in a fan!

Go for this one I have been on road for 5 weeks and staying in some 5 stars but this was very good.

Very close to Old Town.Great breakfast and services. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean but the one we stayed were a bit old. The furniture was old and worn out, the door didn't close properly. However, beds were comfortable and the room spacious enough for two people. Bathroom very clean, a bit small but OK. Free wi-fi in the hotel.

Hotel Salvator is a long walk from the train station and as we arrived quite late at night we elected to take a taxi. We got scammed in the carpark (following the taxis signs) by an official looking fellow who showed us a card with a fixed price on it (which seemed a bit high at 680 Koruna) but there didn’t seem to be any alternative. We found out later the right price is less than 200 Koruna. HTH other travellers – now I always check the approximate taxi fare from the station before I arrive.
Hotel Salvator was delightful – right in the old part of town, big recently renovated adjoining room, great bathroom and shower and very quiet. Breakfast was provided in a very nice courtyard area. It was a bit hectic as the area where the breakfast buffet is laid out is very long and narrow, but there was a good selection of hot and cold items to choose from. A tourist information service was right next door to the hotel and to top it off there is an excellent restaurant connected to the Hotel.
The wi-fi was free and fast, and the hotel is close to public transport and the hop-on hop-off bus stop. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful – we highly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Stayed January 2012. Drove from Vienna to Parague with the understanding, from a phone call to the hotel, that parking was available (in shopping centre close by at 25EU/day) and the hotel was easy to find. Took >1 hour driving around one way blocks to find front door of Hotel located in a one way street off a difficult to get to town square/tram terminal. Booked two rooms, three months in advance: double and a single close together but unfortunately they were "two floors apart" and not negotiable to change. Reception staff were at times rude and unhelpful and it wasn't until, I am sad to say, they found out we were Australian and not from the USA or UK, that the staff attitude slightly changed :(.

Single room with double bed and tiny shower was small but clean and adequate. Double room was pleasantly spacious and clean with a room safe, bar fridge, coffee/tea making supplies and separate entrance area and toilet.Extremely large bathroom but only a shower. Both rooms were 1970's decor.

Rooms designed around a central enclosed courtyard with open balcony corridors. Unfortunately, walls and doors were thin resulting in a great deal of noise echoing within the courtyard from other guests entering and leaving and fire doors doors banging closed. The one "glass lift" located on one side of courtyard attached to the overhanging balcony was noisey and extremely slow.

Breakfast was average but we did not have any evening meals as a thick "cigarette smoke" penetrated the entire dining area (including the non smoking area). Floor in breakfast area looked like it hadn't been cleaned since inception.

Proximity to Prague Opera House, large new multi story shopping centre and Town Hall square is one of the main attractions to this hotel but does have enormous potential if good management, upgrading of facilities and a little bit of effort by staff occurred.

Room Tip: Rooms with no windows facing the internal courtyard and furthest away from lift.

I booked a family room for 4 people, the room was quite big and it had space for 6. It was about a 10 minutes walk from the old town square, a lovely walk by the way, and just next to s shopping center! There was a lovely and good restaurant on the hotel, an excelent option, and a very helpfull turist information center on it as well. They offered airport pick up at a reasonable price, which for us was quite good!

Room Tip: top floors, since there is always people taling on the restaurant downstairs

I stayed here with a group of fellow college students in May 2008 on a Central & Alpine Europe tour. We stayed 3 nights and it was a blast. This hotel is situated on a quiet side street but within walking distance of anything you would want to do in Prague. The game room downstairs was an added bonus and we enjoyed playing pool and relaxing after a full day sightseeing.

Because it's an older hotel, the walls are quite thin and many of the rooms face a large courtyard, which can be noisy at night. As another reviewer noted, between the doors slamming and people going up and down the wooden stairs, it can be difficult to get to sleep sometimes. However, I was so tired after walking several miles each day, I fell asleep without much fuss.

The hotel is conveniently located close to pubs, restaurants, shops, and the main square with the Astrological clock, one of Prague's historic landmark attractions.

Overall I enjoyed this place. I didn't have a laptop or smartphone at the time I stayed here, so I made use of the free computer in a room off the main entrance. I felt the staff were friendly and accommodating, and although it's a bit run-down, I still think this is a great place to stay.
