Three friends came for a city break. We saw so much for beautiful Prague, sampled great food and wine (sadly not much beer as we aren't massive beer drinkers but try Pivovarský dům - really close to the hotel (walking) they sell champagne beer!! Among blueberry/banana etc.

However, talking about the hotel! We had rooms 5 and 7, huge ceilings and clean enough. It was in a separate area from the reception but the reception staff were really helpful and available 24/7.
The showers in both rooms weren't amazing, had to be hand held as they kept falling off the holder, however not a massive problem as the water was lovely and warm.

The safe in one of the rooms was not set up properly/instructions wrong as I ended up locking money and passports in on the first day! Thankfully we had enough money to last us (and more as Prague's so cheap!!) until the maintainance man came out the following day.
If this happens to you DO NOT PANIC. At first we did, but the reception were really laid back about it and said it will get fixed we just had to wait until the man was able to come out (really quickly). It also states on the info on the wall about the safe, so it obviously happens frequently.

Check out was fine and we were able to leave out suitcases at the back of the office for the full day, two of us had also left our mobile and kindle in the room!! the staff were great and gave them back to us as soon as we came back to the hotel!! Lovely lovely xx

Really nice hostel for few days trip. The room was big, bed quite comfort, breakfast was ok. Nearby nice pubs and few good restaurants. The staff was ok, not so helpful.

Hostel is safe because of the electronic keys and some CCTV. The neighbourhood is quiet and there's good public transport.

I have visited this hotel twice on in August 2011 and May 2012. The first time, we were placed on the last floor of the building which had a tilted roof. That was kind of weird, nevertheless the rooms was clean and well kept. However, that floor was really loud. You could hear everything. The second time I visited we stayed on the 2nd floor. That was a really nice surprise. The rooms was large and clean. The metro stop is only 1 min walk from the hotel. There is a small market right across the street. The hotel is also connected to a restaurant/pub. The first few days we took the metro to Old Town but after that we just walked it was nice about 15-20 min.

So I don't understand this location or neighborhood. Streets were abandoned day or night. No shops. What are in all those buildings? It was a mystery. But the neighborhood felt safe. A few good places to eat nearby. Within walking distance to metro and street car. Also within walking distance to Prague national opera and wenseles square. Breakfast was really delicious! Great work ladies! They worked so hard each morning. Rooms clean. Price right.

Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel on lastminute.com and were not expecting that much. The train station is about a minute walk from the hotel which was easy. The rooms were larger that what we were expecting and it was very clean. Beds were comfy and the staff were very chatty and helpful. It is about a 20 minute walk into old town, but the walk is nice and we felt safe walking around at night. We never went to the restaurant as there were many places to eat close to the hotel and there is also a cheap supermarket 2 buildings along from the hotel. Overall we were really happy with our stay and loved the location.
