“Budget Accommodation, great location - Value for money!”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights in May and for the low price we paid I think this is great accommodation!
Its located on the river with Charles Bridge and Old town square all within 10 minutes walk - no need for trams or taxis at all!
The rooms are small but this adds to the 'boat' effect and are very basic so please don't expect luxury. We also found the beds VERY comfortable :-)
The breakfast room is very busy but we always found seating (sometimes sharing) with a basic selection of bread, ham, cereal, fruit, tea, coffee & juices.
The bar area is also very basic but good value and the staff are all friendly & hard working.
The only downside for us what that smoking was permitted in rooms and the Bar area which (for ex-smokers) seemed to linger everywhere we went in the hotel. Other than that its all very good, great value for a City break and good breakfast.
I would recommend this for anyone on a budget wanting a City break in Prague with a great location and more than adequate breakfast.

Room Tip: I would recommend requesting a River view room.

Recently stayed in the Botel Albatros during a leisure break. Rooms are small and comfortable, which was to be expected staying on a boat. The bathroom was small also, with the shower area being difficult to navigate as we both felt that we were being attacked by the shower curtain, but none the less plenty of hot water. Breakfast is a small selection of cereals, slightly warm yoghurt, brownie, breads, ham, cheese and fruits. We had paid for the breakfast, but only ate there on two mornings. The room itself was poorly laid out, slightly cafeteria like. As a hotelier I would point out the pitfalls in a hotel but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend for for a stay if you are looking for a quirky alternative.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the river.

The boat is very close to the town centre, only 5 minutes walk away.
The hotel is clean and tidy and a good budget accommodation.
The rooms are a little dated but you can't really ask for more.
The only negative is the shower is very tight if you are a bigger person and a couple of times I caught my arm on the shower valve and burnt myself. Own fault though.
Overall good value.

A basic but cozy and atmospheric place to say in wonderful location with great views. Not luxurious but adequate if you just want a central base in Prague, a stones thrown from the Charles Bridge, the Rudophfino, and the Jewish quarter.

Breakfast basic abut lots of it, it’s fun to have swans and ducks swim by while you are eating, plus there was some interesting unpretentious people to sit with.

I was there in March when it was cold outside, but the cabin was warm and cozy, the shower was tiny and basic, but what you would expect on a boat.

I would recommend this for young and old people alike, who want an interesting experience and a cheap no frills pace to stay in the center of Prague.

The rooms were old and nothing extra. On the other hand, you can profit from a good location, standard breakfast and a really really low price. I would recommend this hotel for modest travellers who just need a place to sleep.

convenient location, easy to find , and not far from the center and public transportation .nice view if your room faces the river.
nevertheless : not even a smile nor a glance at the reception desk neither checking in or out ;
small rooms ( as awaited) , stinking smoke, over heated ( we asked twice to set it down, a guy came to tell us to turn the broken tap clockwise without fixing it !!)
finding a free table for breakfast is a real issue.
as we came just before new year eve the prices did not leave me the remembrance of a good value at all.

Room Tip: choose a river view ,

It's location is very good - few minutes by walk to all Prague's attractions.
We payd 50 euros for 2 nights - so we find it a fair price.
Well the location of botel is one of the biggest attractions of it. We also used Botel's parking - which was helpful - it is hard to find a free space to leave a car in Prague.
The rooms are really small - claustrophobia people be aware. But we used the room only to sleep in it.
Breakfest was nice.

Room Tip: good location for sightseeing
