The hotel is situated on main street between half way from aiport to the city centre. I spent at Kavalir hotel 5nights with my daughter we had a room no.52 The hotel is cosy, very clean and have an excellent reception staff which has been always helpful and polite. The room was clean every single day and gave us enough towels and toiletries. The showers is amazing and has plenty of hot water. Tv mainly with czech chanels, only bbs news in English but if you come to Prague for watching tv i suggest you to stay home breakfast is basic, included in a room rate, but the coffee even if was from coffee machine had a quilty flavour. Love it. If you want to purchase public transport tickets there is a ticket machine on the same side what hotel just few metres to the left and looks like a yellow box. Tram number 9 and 15 will take you to the city centre very quickly and easy. All over rate the hotel is worth it the price. Would definitely recommend

This hotel is just a bit outside of Prague, so it gets you away from the hustle and bustle of the city but leaves you close enough to get back with relative ease. There is a tram and bus stop right outside the hotel, which is a huge perk. So you can actually take a train into Prague and take the tram or a bus to drop you off right outside your hotel.
If you take Tram 9, it will only take you 9 stops to be dropped off in the city center. One way tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the hotel, which is very helpful.
The hotel itself offers a good continental breakfast that is complimentary with your stay. The rooms are clean and well maintained, but if you get a room close to the street it will be noisy all night.
If you drive here, it is difficult to find parking, and it must be paid, although parking on the street is free on weekends.

Room Tip: The street side rooms will be noisy.

Clean and good sized room although instead of a double bed we had two single beds pushed together that were not that comfortable. Room gets quite warm during the summer and there is no air con. Wi-Fi is good and reliable. Bathroom is good with a decent shower. Service in the room was very good.

Breakfast is included which is good - it is fairly basic, some hot (sausage and beans) and some cold meats, breads etc. Will fuel you for a day of sightseeing and adds to the value of the hotel by being included.

Staff were helpful and friendly both during the day and night (you can buy soft drinks and beers/wine from reception and they had no problem obliging.

Although you are a few kilometres outside prague centre there is a tram stop literally across the road - you can get trams from here to Wenceslas square, Prague Castle, Old town. Also a bus top right outside so really handy as the public transport is fast and reliable. There is no ticket machine at the stop itself - it is on the same side of the road as the hotel and we missed it until our third day there - the tobacconist shop sells the tickets anyway.

All in all a good choice if you are visiting Prague on a budget.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main road can be noisy in the summer with the windows open

The rooms were very nice although some of the wooden linings on the windows were cracked a bit. There are some paintings and the covers go well with the Czech style - felt real nice.
Most of the staff were really nice and friendly greeting us whenever they see us and helping us with our travel plans. The guy who was there at night was different though. He was polite but quite unhelpful when we asked him about something other than the hotel or it's services.
The location is midway between the airport and the city centre. A hotel at the city centre would be better but this came at a lesser cost - so it worked out for us
The breakfast served was good in quality but only OK in spread - for a few days visit that shouldn't matter

We came to this hotel whilst interrailing around Europe so most of our rooms had been hostels and I'd much more prefer to have stayed in a hostel than here. Hotel says 3* but most definitely is not up to that standard. The room was basic - nothing much wrong with this. The area was convenient as it was outside the tram stop to get to the centre. However I must warn you the travel wardens are awful, they pick on tourists and we were fined once and attempted to be fined a second time for not understanding the rules of public transport in prague - another story for another day .. the staff in this hotel are far from friendly. My boyfriend went down to ask for directions to somewhere and was practically shouted at off the male member. However when I went down and asked , his attitude was completely different. Whether this was because i was a girl or not I'm unsure but it was very strange. A female member of staff looked at us as if we were idiots when asking for somewhere to eat. Again, shouting at us to 'go get a kebab like everyone else does'. The location, although near a tram stop, is not convenient for food and is dangerous at night. We were hurled abuse at by numerous teenagers stood outside the hotel which was very distressing and scared me into staying in the room. No lounge or bar in the hotel so at night theres not much to do as there are no places nearby. If i was to come to prague again, i would definitely stay further in the centre.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your visit at Hotel Kavalír Prague and for taking the time to review your recent stay.

I was of course disappointed to read that your experience did not exceed your expectations. Hotel Kavalír is a tourist hotel (bed and breakfast) suitable for tourists who want to explore the beauty of Prague and in room spend a minimum of time. Rooms with bathroom are decorated according to the standard three-star hotel. We offer very good value for money.

Best regards
