This is a nice hotel well located for the sites of Prague. We stayed during very warm weather and slept with the window open (3rd Floor). The noise from the street was very loud and at times incessant due to taxis blowing their horns to people generally shouting and screaming until the early hours. There is a large popular establishment next door as well as bars and hostels in the area. We stayed for 5 nights and managed to have our earliest sleep at about 2.00 a.m. The hotelier has no control on this situation but possibly the installation of air conditioning instead of supplying noisy fans may help. We could then sleep with the window closed. We will not use it again.

We stayed for 3 nights in August 2012 and found the Best Western Pav to be a decent hotel located near Charles bridge and within walking distance from the old town square...

Breakfast was OK..small changes on the menu from day to day...

Overall a decent place, not expensive and near the places of interest...

Room Tip: Take a room on the higher floors..

We stayed for a week from 21st to 28th July with temperatures reaching 35 degrees! If you've never been, GO, it's a beautiful city. The hotel is situated in the new town about 12 minutes gentle walking to the main square/Charles Bridge. Good clean room with a balcony which overlooked the terrace - nice except they start dragging the tables and chairs across the decking between 5.30am - 6am which was really annoying! Our room was huge, with a large curved wall which concealed the bedroom area, furnishings were sparse but adequate. Modern and well appointed bathroom with excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Towels were changed when requested and one bed linen change during the week. Beds clean and comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, but caters little for our diet. Served till 10am but they start clearing up around 9.30am and we had to ask for bread and jam to be brought back out! I would recommend the Blue Eagle cafe situated just to the left of the Indian Jewel restaurant which has been run by the same family for several generations. Good prices, good food and wine and all the cakes are homemade - try the orange and vanilla served warm with whipped cream and a glass of chilled house white or beer whilst people watching - mmm!. The Neruda hotel at the top of the street just before you turn up the slope towards the castle has a great vegetarian lunch option which you can take on the roof terrace. Cowboys steak house just below Neruda on the same side of the street has a fabulous terrace and the food is fantastic, fairly pricey but worth it, Great views across the city. If the weather is hot and you fancy a swim take the number 3 tram to Podoli which has 2 outdoor lido's and an indoor olympic sized pool, with a seperate childrens pool and play area. You can relax on the lawns between cooling off.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that doesn't overlook the terrace. I could only see two rooms with a balcony but...

This hotel offers what you expect, out of a box clean, secure, large room, standard hotel service with nothing special to shout about. The location is good, in new town within walking distance of all the sights and close to the subway. Breakfast is "interesting", but you'll find something to eat but may get bored after a day or two...

I stayed here in September of 2011. We booked out hostel reservation with the wrong date so were left without a place for the night. Luckily there was space here and we ended up only paying about $30 USD more than our originally planned hostel location. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The comforters were very nice as well. This location is great because it is walking distance to many great sights yet is off the main street so out of the way of noise. I found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. There is an amazing restaurant around the corner too! We went there three times during out stay.

Room Tip: The restaurant around the corner is called Universal..best risotto I have ever had! yummy.

We stayed at this hotel for one night only. The service is very poor, the girls in the reception need to do a costumer service training course urgently, between them and the manager they were unable to put the points in my air miles card and I had to end up doing it myself. The room was clean and big, but with no AC, so you had to leave the window open to get some air, which meant a lot of noise coming from the street. Breakfast has a lot of different things, many Czech traditional stuff but, be careful, my boyfriend chew into a stone while eating " Czech apple pie". I took the piece of stone to the reception and all the girl could say was: I'm sorry. I think that doing some research you can find much better hotels in Prague.

The guy at front reception needs to go on a customer training course. Was grunted at, left waiting and also had to move my own luggage to/from baggage room which was located on the 2nd floor - with no system in place to make sure no one else takes your luggage. Most rooms don't have air-con and are unbearably hot during summer.
