“Spacious room, clean, great breakfast”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Stayed 3 nights in May 2014; 2 adults in a double room.

Enjoyed this hotel in Prague, an easy walk to the main attractions. Room was very large. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, cleaner that I've seen in many higher priced hotels.

The free breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of tasty foods including healthy choices. The only downside was that seating was occasionally hard to come by -- apparently others appreciated the breakfast as well.

One suggestion: If it seems you're hearing a lot of noise from the street, the window in our room required that the handle be turned 180 degrees to be secured fully. Not sure why this eluded us.

The WiFi was way faster than usual for hotel/public WiFi, and worked consistently throughout our stay.

Would definitely return and recommend -- great value!

We stayed here 2 nights in April. Upon arrival, we found the room to be a bit cold, turning up the room heating did not help so we ended up calling the reception. They offered us extra blankets and plug in electric heater which remedied the problem very nicely. We were nice and cozy afterwards. Our room faced the street but it was very quiet at all times. The hotel is a short walk to the major tourist attractions of Old Town, and right next door to the famous "U Fleku" pub. The breakfast buffet is included in the price and was adequate, however, for North American standard, did not have enough breakfast foods we are used to, it was more like lunch menu. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Hotel Pav is a great little hotel as the base for your city trip. I stayed for 3 nights in April with my Mum. The hotel was clean and in a good location for sight seeing. We booked a transfer from the airport (company called prague airport transfers - fantastic 450kc from airport to hotel) and it took about 20 mins to get there which is ideal at 10pm after a jet2 flight! It's pretty much a 15 min walk from the hotel to most places (charles bridge, old town square/wenceslas square) There was a nice restaurant just around the corner that served lovely pizza which was ideal after a long day walking the streets of Prague. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was 003 on the ground floor and we did find it a little noisy as it was next to the lift and stairwell so we heard people moving around from 5am, however it was lovely and clean. My only suggestions for the hotel to improve would be maybe a kettle and fridge in the rooms so we could make a cup of tea. (However the hotel bar did make an excellent cuppa for about 45kc.) Also the breakfast was a little too european for my british taste buds. There was a lot of meat and cheese and strangely pasta, carrots and peas! Toast, cereal and yoghurt was available which was lovely and this is what we ate during our stay but maybe some fresh fruit, croissants, eggs etc would have just made it that little bit better. I am being quite picky with those grumbles because overall I really enjoyed my stay, it was worth the money for the quiet street and location for seeing the city. A good hotel in a great city!

Room Tip: don't go for rooms on the ground floor!

Dear guest,

thank you very much for your kind words.

It is pleasure to read you and your mum had a good time in Prague and in our hotel.

There are many nice restaurants and bars close to our hotel where you can enjoy good meal after long day sightseeing. Our café/bar located in the lobby of the hotel serves excellent Italian coffee and other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Also kettle with complimentary tea and coffee is available on request at the Front Desk to be placed in the room.

We spent 4 nights here. Our room was lovely with a front view with huge windows which brought in a lot of light. The breakfast was good and of a wide variety. Free wifi too. The hotel is in a great neighborhood and very walkable to the main squares. The staff was very helpful and set up a trip for us. Would stay here again.

This is a small, clean, quite hotel that is conveniently placed for a short city break. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was very small with little natural ligh, however it was warm and cosy.
We were visiting Prague for the first time together (both previously visited on separate occasions) we both love Prague and we chose December so that we could enjoy the Christmas Markets.
This Hotel is not luxurious but is adequately furnished for a short break, we stayed for 3 nights and had limited luggage.
Breakfasts were disappointing and staff in the breakfast room unfriendly. However the staff at the reception are friendly and helpful.
We would stay here again as it was reasonably priced but would not recommend it for a longer trip.

Stayed with my wife and 12 yr old daughter. Hotel was clean and fresh with quite new interior. Staff were helpful, friendly and prompt. Breakfast was fresh and tasty buffet style with hot and cold options. The tariff was reasonable given the location. Only 15 minutes to old town square. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area but not rowdy. Only negative was the hot water in the shower took 5 minutes to run hot, but was fine when it got there.
