“Excellent hotel in a great location!!”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and thought it was a GREAT location. the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock are just around the corner as are many, many shops and restaurants. The room was large, clean and the staff was delightful. We arrived there by cab from the bus/train station and the cost of the cab was 680CZ. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of foods. I would absolutely stay there again.

You can walk to the Charles Bridge and Jewish neighborhoods from the hotel. It is just a great place to walk around and see Prague.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 402 and it was very quiet.

My wife and I spent 4 nights there in July 2014. Staff was extremely attentive and very helpful. The room was small but comfortable. It was quite WARM in the room, so I asked the front desk for a fan and they brought a huge floor-mounted fan we could borrow! Did the trick, and after the AC was on full-blast for 24 hours the room was cooler and less humid. Breakfast room in the basement was just fine, with a great selection of cereals, meats, local cheeses, eggs, and very good coffee. When we departed very early Sunday morning, they had prepared a large breakfast for each of us to take on the train. Really first-rate folks.

Fantastic location if you are visiting Prague for the first time or if you like the Old City area. Everything is nearby and a Hard Rock Cafe next door. The room was nice and spacious eventhough we were a party of three adults. The AC was a minisplit that worked great, the beds were ok for Europe style, the Wifi worked very well, the breakfast was acceptable and the staff was very helpful. Definitely would stay there again!

Dear guest,

thank you very much for your positive words, and I would just comment on those negative ones. For the noise from the streets, you are quite right, but we are situated in the very centre of the city and it is difficult to avoid all the noises. Upon your next stay with us, please do not hesitate and ask at the reception, we do have rooms that face a calm courtyard, so you will get some of these rooms.
And, we are just planning to add the glass panels around the bathtubs.
So I am convinced and do hope upon your next stay, there won´t be a single reason for a negative point in your future review :) .

Thank you very, very much,

with kind regards,

Jana Budinska

We recently stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Rott on our first visit to Prague.

The pickup from the Railway Station (and later transfer back) went smoothly and check-in was quick and easy by very friendly staff.

Our room was a dream. It was more than we hoped for.

We found all staff helpful and smiling. The breakfast provided was more than enough with a good range of options.

As most reviewers have said, the location could not be better. It is an old hotel that has been modernized but still maintains it’s charm. It is not the Hilton or Sheraton, it has much more charm and warmth.

We couldn’t have asked for more.

Sensational.

Location, facilities and Location.

We stayed at the Hotel Rott for a week after travelling for nearly two weeks. What a welcome! The place was lovely. In a brilliant location – 3 minute walk from the Astronomical Clock and so close to so many bars, restaurants and so much entertainment.

The front desk staff were fabulous – so pleasant and helpful. Ever minor issue was fixed quickly.

The included breakfast was fantastic. If you cannot find enough food that you like – you are not being realistic. Cooked eggs and meat, many cereals, many pastries and breads, fresh fruit, dried fruit, and so much more.

The restaurant was excellent. Great food and prices better than three minutes away in the Square.

The hotel has two elevators taking you to all parts of the building – including down to breakfast. It is excellent that such an old period building can have efficient elevators retro fitted in such a tasteful manner.

The wifi was great – could upload photos with no worries.

The shower was excellent (although the opening was a bit small) but pressure temperature etc was great. I would have liked more towels but of course I could have asked!

The only thing I didn’t like was that the beds were a bit hard. They were on a wooden base and I like a really soft bed.
Opening the windows onto the street was lovely hearing the babbling noise of tourists having fun.

The airport transfer was great. A really nice car with a pleasant driver, punctual and with a fixed price!

A great place to stay.

The location is meters from central city square and 5 min walk from Charles bridge. Strong signal, wi-fi, non stop working. AC rooms. Receptionists are helping.
Price is fairly balanced regarding what the hotel is offering.
