We recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Rott and definitely would return to this hotel again. Location wise it's literally around the corner from the old town square with the astronomical clock and about a 5 minute walk to Charles bridge which for us was perfect as it put us right in the heart of this beautiful city.
We arrived early on the friday morning and were not able to get into our room until later but we were able to check in and store our luggage while we went out to explore. The reception staff were all really helpful and very friendly.
When we did get into our room we found it to be very clean and comfortable. It had everything you would expect from a first class hotel. The room itself was decorated very nicely and everything seemed new. We had tv, fridge (stocked mini-bar which was quite reasonably priced) hairdryer, free safety deposit etc.
The breakfast which was included is served in the lower ground floor and there are lots to choose from. Each day there is tea/coffee/juices, cold selection of breads, cheeses, cooked meats, fresh and tinned fruit, yogurt, cereal, croissants/pastries; hot selection of sausages, eggs, bacon etc. All very tasty and constantly being filled up.
The building itself has a lot of history to it which is very interesting to learn about; there is a board up near to the entrance telling you everything.
The plugs sockets in the room did not accomodate our converter plugs we had with us and so at reception we were able to rent one with a returnable deposit.
We would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Prague and we will be returning again. Thank you to all staff.

Hotel Rott is a gorgeous hotel inside and out, the building is steeped in history with a lovely lobby and card entry secure glass lift. All the staff are very pleasant and efficient and I should like to take the opportunity to thank them once again for making my birthday holiday so special.
Sleep quality was perfect, a comfortable bed , heated floor and small but deep bath and shower attachment in the large modern bathroom, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space ( though do bring extra hangers if you need more than half a dozen) Nice fluffy towels every day. English news channels on T.V. and coffee making facilities and mini bar, reasonably priced and lots of choice.
Breakfast room was busy and the self service area was compact but efficiently laid out and maintained with extensive choice of quality foods. The one coffee machine ,as other reviewers have stated , was always subject to queues but not a major problem, the orange juice was so very good! The coffee and cappuccino were very nice and tea was available also.
Limo to and from airport at 750 koruna is a little more expensive than a taxi but was so efficient it was worth the extra to travel in style.
The location was perfect and amazingly quiet rooms given all the bustle outside and Hard Rock just below.
I am so glad I chose Hotel Rott for my first visit to the beautiful city of Prague. It is a quiet oasis of calm after hours of walking and exploring (in between getting lost frequently!)
Prague and the Hotel Rott are indeed magic and if you are considering visiting, do not hesitate to book this hotel .It really is first class. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Great Hotel! We stay in the hotel for four nights! Excellent location! Excellent breakfast! Big room for four! (Family Room 2 adults and 2 children, 13 and 10)

The waitresses in the restaurant for breakfast were very nice. The hotel is right next to Hard Rock Café. 10 steps of the Clock and main plaza.. You can´t ask for more.
We will definitely stay here again.

We are just back from this hotel - absolutely magnificent!! Great hotel - very friendly helpful staff on arrival they took our bags to ur room - all amenities - restaurant has gorgeous food (and I am very very fussy!!!) Location is just perfect - right beside the square!! Rooms are very nice - and the mini bar was handy and not too expensive - would definitely recommend this hotel! We travelled here with Travel Republic - excellent service - our transfers came right into the hotel to pick us up - but the bellboy was waiting with his phone in case they never came! He was more than willing to help us get to airport - Very pleasant stay! One downfall - don't go to the Coyote Ugly bar beside the hotel - its a rip off - the 'show' which is meant to be the 'best in the world' was rubbish - not like the film at all (which I absolutely love)! The hard rock café next door to hotel was excellent value for money and very good service - Omar u were super attending to us! :)

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and thought it was a GREAT location. the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock are just around the corner as are many, many shops and restaurants. The room was large, clean and the staff was delightful. We arrived there by cab from the bus/train station and the cost of the cab was 680CZ. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of foods. I would absolutely stay there again.

You can walk to the Charles Bridge and Jewish neighborhoods from the hotel. It is just a great place to walk around and see Prague.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 402 and it was very quiet.

My wife and I spent 4 nights there in July 2014. Staff was extremely attentive and very helpful. The room was small but comfortable. It was quite WARM in the room, so I asked the front desk for a fan and they brought a huge floor-mounted fan we could borrow! Did the trick, and after the AC was on full-blast for 24 hours the room was cooler and less humid. Breakfast room in the basement was just fine, with a great selection of cereals, meats, local cheeses, eggs, and very good coffee. When we departed very early Sunday morning, they had prepared a large breakfast for each of us to take on the train. Really first-rate folks.

Fantastic location if you are visiting Prague for the first time or if you like the Old City area. Everything is nearby and a Hard Rock Cafe next door. The room was nice and spacious eventhough we were a party of three adults. The AC was a minisplit that worked great, the beds were ok for Europe style, the Wifi worked very well, the breakfast was acceptable and the staff was very helpful. Definitely would stay there again!
