This hotel is very clean and quiet. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Its near to the center, only 20 minutes by tram. Very good price for accommodation in Prague :-)
Certainly like to come back to this hotel. :-)

The hotel is just... fine. It is not too expensive; it is clean; it is quiet, and it has all the basic amenities and offers breakfast. Hence we were not disappointed or impressed; it was exactly what we expected.

The location, although not in the centre, is fine because there are relatively frequent tram and metro services, even on Sunday mornings/evenings. The hotel is next to some sports fields and a sports complex, so while it might be noisy during the day, there is noone around at night - except ofr some trains passing by, but they didn't disturb us.

The hotel is clean, and the rooms are big enough for a comfortable stay. The hairdrier in our room didn't work, but we were too tired to report it.

The breakfast was quite good, offering hot sausages, although some eggs and a wider choice of cereals would have helped very much. The bar is hopelessly depressing and serves only beer, so I would suggest having a drink in the centre and then going back to the hotel only to sleep.

In short - there is no luxury, but it is comfortable enough for a budget traveller.

Travelled in a party of two couples. Receptionist spoke good enough english for us to check in OK . Went downhill from there .Found our rooms and as it had been a long day ment again at the bar for a drink. Choice at bar was Beer or soft drink. Ladies rightly not amused.we shared views on our rooms . Couple 1 . Room had TV without sound. Curtains that when pulled came off of the rail. Bathroom had no shower curtain. other than that had the usuall standard room for a 3 star hotel. Couple 2 Had 3 beds 2 off which were head to toe along one wall with the third down opposite wall . a chair and small table.Bathroom small but usable. It was infact a Hostel type room. We all paid the same amount but had such differant facilities . We stayed 3 nights . couple 1's room tidied every day . couple 2's room never touched . Breakfast oh dear . Meat cheese cake hot dogs real healthy but that is the way of meals in this part of the world so no problem. but would have been nice to have an option of toast at least to pander to us brits :). THIS IS NOT A HOTEL . IT IS A HOSTEL

Room Tip: choose another hotel unless you go as a large group of youngsters traveling

With small improvements can become a very good hotel. Air conditioning needs. Distance from the hotel to the city center then require a tram and metro (about 20-30 minutes). Means of transportation are high frequency..

Room Tip: It is not necessary

I wanted a budget holiday in Prague and that's exactly what I got! I had looked at lots of other hotels but most of them were working out very expensive, so when I saw Hotel Slavia for only £117 for 2 people staying for 5 nights I booked straight away.
When we arrived the receptionist did not speak very good English, but what can you expect you're in another country really they should not have to speak our language! When I got to my room it was reasonably clean and spacious.

There are a few downsides to the rooms: 1. THEY ARE VERY VERY WARM! The first night I took a freezing cold shower before bed and woke up sweating several times so got virtually no sleep the first night, however I went to the supermarket the next morning and bought a cheap fan which did the job. 2. If you are travelling as a couple as I was you may get twin beds on opposite sides of the room which cannot be moved together!
However as I said before you can't really expect much more with such a cheap hotel!
Overall the hotel is great for the price you will pay for it. It is only a 5 minute walk from Tesco and a 2 minute walk from the tram station.

Only woke up for breakfast one morning out of the 5, it was included in the price but it was very basic so we just skipped breakfast and went to Mcdonalds for lunch most days (again only 5 minutes away and very cheap!)

I'd definitely recommened this hotel to young people looking for a cheap place to stay but who (like me) do not like the idea of sharing a room with several strangers in a hostel!

Room Tip: I chose a superior room for an extra £20 pounds which was a great idea because there was a safe in the room!
