“Close to Wenceslas Square”
Reviewed 25 October 2012

I have slept in Lunik hotel twice on my business trips (hotel was provided by organizer, it wasn't my choice). This small and cosy hotel is located at tree-lined street in Prague 2 district, close to Namesti Miru (Peace Sq) metro station, but within walking distance from National Museum and Wenceslas Square. Very tasty breakfast. I think regular rates and little overpriced: 100 € in season for 3* hotel it's too much. I had some discount price and it was OK.

Good value, clean hotel, slightly out of the action so used the metro quite a bit although it is easy walking distance (it depends how many times you do it). Rooms were adequate, no tea/coffee making facilities which would have been nice. Shower was a bit small so the water sprayed over the floor and the pillows were a bit flat. Hotel was quiet and felt safe, breakfast was great for continental, kept us going all morning. There was a nice bar round the corner (turn right then right out of hotel) with a garden but most bars are nice, cheap beer and fair priced food, spent quite a lot of budget on tea and coffee. Got bus from airport and then tram and this was easy and cheap. The whole transport system is easy to understand and reliable.Disappointed that the national museum was closed for a long time but it makes a great landmark for getting to Wenslas square. We were also lucky with the weather which always gives you a good feeling about a place.......we loved Prague.

We stayed at Lunik for 4 nights in late September 12 and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is located near metro stations (Green line - Namesti Miru and Red line - I.P.Pavlova) and trams. The neighborhood is quiet and very nice, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk down to Wenceslas Square or 15 to the Vltava's Jiraskiv Bridge and Dancing House.
The room was very clean, quiet, well furnished and cozy. And comfortably warm which is important in European autumn. Especially I would like to mention helpfulness of the stuff, they were always there and ready to help even in non-ordinary situation. Very friendly. We felt really good to come back to the hotel in the evenings after a day in charming Praha.
There was a great choice of breakfast, tasty and nice.
Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel many years ago and was most impressed. It is sensibly priced and you can easily get from the airport by public transport (one ticket only needed) Take the 119 bus to its terminus at Dejvicka. Then catch the underground line A. You will have to change once to get to Pavlova the nearest metro station to the Lunik.
If you arrive very late the hotel will quote you a sensible fixed price for a taxi and the driver will wait for your flight carrying a board with uour name on it. Taxis at the ariport are notorious for charging high prices and taking long diversonary routes.
The hotel which is the best part of 100 years old is well furnished and has a good free internet connection. Breakfast is very good and the hotel will look after your luggage in a locked room if you are leaving the city well after check-out time. The staffr are courteous and speak good English. The hotel is on a quiet street although I could hear trams in the distance but they did not disturb me.

Clean rooms, helpful staff and a good breakfast. The metro and trams are close by and its about a 10minute walk to Wenceslas Square. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage in a locked room free of charge on the day we checked out which enabled us to spend the day sightseeing. Would certainly stay there again if returning to Prague

Clean rooms, good service, tasty breakfast! The hotel is located in New Town near metro station (2-3 minutes to walk). In the hotel there is only mini bar. If you want to eat dinner or lunch next door the hotel there is a nice restaurant with tasty local food.

Whilst slightly out of the centre of old Prague this hotel offers very comfortable accommodation with nice clean and well furnished rooms and a good breakfast. The bathrooms are well equipped but, as stated by other visitors, the showers are rather tight (600mm shower tray with curtain). Travel from the airport by public transport is easy and remarkably cheap, 32 Crowns or just over £1! You get the 119 bus outside the airport to the end of its route at the Dejvicka tube station on the Green line where you get on the train and then get off at Náměstí Míru with the hotel about 5 minutes walk down the hill. Getting in to the touristy bits of Prague from the hotel is a 15 minute walk or a quick trip on the bus or tram which stops nearby the hotel.
There is a reasonable bar/restaurant next to the hotel and even a Tesco store within a 5 minute walk.
All in all not a bad place to stay for your trip to Prague.
