“Nice hotel in good location”
Reviewed 23 August 2011

We stayed in City Centre in this summer.
The hotel is located just outside the Metro stations and it is located very close to the old city (3 minutes by walking).
The building is a little bit old, and as common to old buildings in Europe, it has a funny smell and squeaking noises.
The breakfast was quite good, and in addition to its rather low price, this hotel is a good budget choice for my opinion.
Have fun in Prague, it is a beautiful town :)

Terrible! It has a great location, it is all. They gave us the smallest room in the floor. There is a strong smell to bleach in the whole building, the carpets are ruined, and when they are cleaning the rooms they throw all the sheets to the aisles so it is a mess. They say (at their website and in the reception) they have Satellite TV, but it is a lie, they only have local tv (3 channels) in small tvs. The WiFi in the reception is slow and keeps falling every ten minutes. The breakfast is poor, they have some colored water they pretend is juice fruit, and very few options of food. Besides that, it was crowded of italians and british teenagers making noise all night.

Perfectly located budget hotel with all the amenities you'll need.Got a quiet double room for 35,- Euro per night, nothing fancy of course but spacious and clean. Unfortunately no internet or wifi in the room, so probably less suitable for business people. However, there is free wifi in the reception area. It's a bit of an adventure to exit the hotel if you;re on the top floor, try for youselves..i did not really care for the coffee and the stale kind of bread they sometimes serve at breakfast, but at least there is plenty of choice. If you arrive by car, you could try one of the P+R areas, like the one in Palmovka, it's about 4,- Euro per 24 hours and 10 minutes from the hotel by tram or metro.

I dislike this hotel very much. The room was big but the furniture very old, the sheets weren't very clean and the breakfast was very bad. Even the personnel wasn`t very helpful. There was only one good point: the location of the hotel. You could get to Charles Bridge (old town) in less than 10 minutes by foot. But the street was noisy with trams and lots of cars. The parking was expensive and very complicated to get in and out. I really disliked it.

Have to say that the location of this hotel was spot on, it was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The but - this hotel as I am sure a lot of other 'cheaper end of the market do'- top up their funds by providing accommodation for Italian school parties, hundreds of the noisy, rude, ill mannered little so and so's. They were running around the hotel until 4 am, banging on doors, ringing your room up and generally being a pain in the preverbiable. The teachers were so concerned that they nothing about them whatsoever. We did complain to the reception, who were very understanding and did offer us another room, but said it probably wouldn't help as they were everywhere, we looked and declined. It is I suppose a word of warning that this hotel will take large school parties who can really spoil your stay.

Having said all that the hotel was clean, very basic, not really 3 star in my opinion, but the location is absolutely spot on, so close to the centre without having to pay the silly prices. The breakfast was good and should keep you going most of the day.

Just a quick review, no point in repeating previous reviews.

The hotel has a good location close to the centre of Prague. Arrived just after midday, but we couldn’t have our room until 2pm, but were allowed to leave our luggage in a locked room.

It is clean and comfortable, took on board previous suggestions and emailed the hotel asking for rooms facing away from the road, it was an excellent idea, and although we had no view, it was really quiet.

Breakfast was ok, but we were returning on New Year’s Day, and the normal start time of 7am was changed on New Year’s Eve to 8am, we had to leave the hotel for the airport before 8am so no breakfast for us, but after all, it was New Years day!!

Really easy to find by public transport from the airport, (see previous reviews).

Took note of a previous review of theft, (amazed the hotel did not respond to the review??) we hired the safe in the room…..

The bar, (Casino? Don’t make me laugh!!) which was next door to the hotel and down a flight of steps, was nothing to look at, but when your paying just over £3 for two half litres of lager and two glasses of wine, what the hell!!

To summarise, for the price you can’t go wrong.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. May be it is not the best choice in the prag but it is almost in the centre. Very clean and breakfast is good enough. 5 Minutes to city centre by walk, one minute to palladium.
