VGood location, next to mustek-metroA, only 200-300m to old city, 30m to shopping area. The only negative thing is the meaningless noise of housekeepers at the early morning.

Having been advised that Hotels in Prague claim to be better than they actually are, we were thrilled to find it was everything it claimed to be and more. We were a group of 6 ladies on our annual girly trip and this was our favourite hotel to date. The staff and service were friendly and helpful, carrying luggage and providing bags full of ice when one of us twisted her ankle. The rooms were really spacious and had everything you needed, large wardrobes, a safe and a large bathroom. everywhere was immaculately clean. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of cereals, hot food, bread and pastries, yoghurts and fruit. The location was perfect as it was very central and near all the places of interest. I can highly recommend Hotel Liberty.

We stayed here for 3 nights after a long train ride from Krakow. We arrived late at the train station, and took the local subway. It is super convenient, right off the subway stop, out the exit and right across the walk. The hotel is well restored, and very attractive inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a room in the back. Not much view, but we could sleep in after a long night on the town. The room was large, with a high ceiling and big bathroom. Not typical of western Europe, but more of an American sized room. Though we personally don't really care much about the size of the room, as long as it is adequate, we did find it noticably larger. The breakfast was relatively typical, nice and abundant, with a decent variety. Just outside the hotel, there is a great variety of activity, right where old town and new town intersect, it is all within a few blocks. You are in the heart of the city, without the noise of a busy street, or a crowded square. We thought the convenience, quality, and service in the hotel, as well as the value makes it a great choice for a holiday in Prague.

We stayed here for our annual girls trip. We had 3 twin rooms. The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly, the rooms are large with plenty of wardrobe space. The breakfast was very nice with a mixture of cereals, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, fruit and some hot food. There weren't vast amounts of anything but the staff kept things regularly topped up. Of the 3 rooms, 2 had a bath and 1 had a shower. I think that if you have a preference then it is worth asking for a room with your choice. The baths did have a mixer shower from the taps but there was nowhere to hang it on the wall and no shower screen or curtain. I'm not a bath person so I ended up kneeling in the bath and using the mixer shower which wasn't great. The hotel is right at the bottom of Wenceslas Square, we much preferred the atmosphere of Old Town Square but it the whole of the centre of Prague is pedestrianised and nothing is too far away. The pedestrian area is all cobbles so make sure you have comfortable shoes on. Whenever we go away we are always warned about pick-pockets and bag snatchers. So far we have never had any problems but we are always very careful. I have to say that I have never been anywhere that it has been so obvious that your bags are being watched. This was mostly in Wenceslas Square and it was a bit unnerving at night. We went on the hop-on-hop-off bus but, because of the pedestrianisation, the bus can't really get close to any of the sights. The only thing it was useful for was the trip up to the castle and monastery. I think that either doing your own research, or doing a walking tour, may be the best way to see the sights. Another little tip is that you need to pay to use the bathroom in restaurants, cafes and attractions. It is never a lot but it is a good idea to try and hang on to your change for this purpose. If you eat/drink there then it is worth asking for a ticket to the bathroom - some places will do this. The plus side to this is that you never need to spend time looking around for public toilets, go in to the nearest pub/restaurant/cafe and just pay to use the bathroom.

Room Tip: Request one with either a shower or a bath, depending on your preference.

We booked this hotel online to visit the christmas markets, flying with easyjet.

Easiest flight weve ever taken. Travelled with handluggage only..
Hotel was lovely, our room was huge! lovely big comfy bed, massive bathroom. very clean. Hotel staff friendly. Breakfast was nice, although it felt slightly odd eating the basement! Food was good.

It was very very cold- otherwise we may have used the terrace! The room did have a balcony, but we did not open the doors.. too cold!

The hotel was literally in the centre of prague- perfect for the christmas markets, the castle, the clock...

We found the mulled wine expensive in the markets around the hotel.. walk for 1 min up the road and its half the price.. we ate (twice) at a lovely restaurant which for the life of me.. the name has vanaished from m7y mind! It was literally across from the hotel.. out the front door.. look left- first floor on the corner of the square with small lamps in the windows.. you enter through the shopping centre via the elevators. It was part of a 'chain' but my husbands steak was absolutely beautiful, as was my pasta dish- fab choice of ice creams and desserts and very fairly priced! we enjoyed it so much we went back again!

We also bought some fabulous crystal glasses at 20 quid for 6.. boxed and literally perfectly slid into my 'hand luggage only'. Only downside was I had to sacrifice the old jeans to fit..

Had a lovely time.. Husband was on the hunt for a staropramen pub and had to cross the river.. but we found one in the end! Hot chocolate in the liberty cafe (under the hotel) was lovely.. first time i have seen a menu for all the different flavours.. the cakes were also divine!

We also visited prague castle and watched the guard change. Lovely, but just not quite the same as watching it at Buckingham palace! Very expensive inside the castle, so would reccomend eating before you enter. Worth the visit, but again not quite London dungeons..

We had a lovely weekend, easy flight, lovely hotel, not too expensive and the christmas markets were simply beautiful. We had a lovelu time, in a lovely hotel with a straighforward journey!

Room Tip: We booked a superior room and it was huge!

Stayed at Hotel Liberty with my husband in late February. It was a fantastic part of our travels. The location is great for exploring Prague, the staff is very helpful and all spoke English and the breakfast spread is beautiful. Our room was very spacious with a huge really nice bathroom. Great value for money too. Its a 4 star hotel - you'd pay at least triple the price for the same hotel in Paris or London.
