I couldn't be happier with our experience at the Green Grape in Prague over the past four days this June 2012. The location of the Green Grape is just a stone's throw from the bustle of historic and cosmopolitan downtown Prague. The Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge are a ten to fifteen minute walk away, as are the foothills that lead to the Petrin Tower and the rose gardens beyond. The neighborhood also possesses some interesting anecdotal attractions - the US, Irish, and German Embassies, and a KGB and an Alchemy Museum. The "Three Violins" Restaurant, just down the street, is an excellent place to eat dinner.

Three features of the hotel that define it are the friendliness and fabulous customer service of the young ladies who work at the Green Grape's concierge desk - from serving us breakfast to assisting us in getting more efficiently to places of interest within the city - they made our stay in Prague more enjoyable. Second is the Green Grape's first floor courtyard: it is a beautiful, clean, quiet space to get fortified before beginning adventures in Prague, or to retreat to after a day of taking in Prague's many sights. Finally, the rustic, historic, and individual nature of each of the Green Grape's rooms separates the hotel from so many others. Our room, named after Danish Astronomer Tycho de Brahe, opened my mind to the idea of Prague being a center of scientific learning at the close of the 16th century.

Thank you Green Grape! I look forward to a return in the future.

Room Tip: I recommend room #5 on the 3rd floor, called Tycho de Brahe, just watch your head on the low door ways! I bumped mine a number of times.

The place is wonderful, quiet, near things but off the main drag. We loved it. Staff are wonderful and helpful.

When we pulled up this hotel was just like the photo's - a really pretty building on a lovely side street in Prague.

The location is unbeleivably quiet and there are lovely restraunts and shops just moments away. Its ideally located for the castle, Mala Strana and Kampe parts of Prague. A 10-15 minute walk down hill takes you to Charles Bridge and into the 'main' part of Prague.

The staff are friendly and attentative. The hotel is pretty and spacious for its size, incorporating both very old features and modern touches such as 'remote control' door openers. Every day there is a continental breakfast with a great selection of tasty meats, cheese, egg and bacon.

The rooms are all fantastic, comming with a range of features, comfy beds and high quality linen.

You would not be dissapointed at all to stay here and perhaps the only issues facing you are the fact its not as 'central' as many competing hotels (the walk is absolutely fine by the way, and probably one of the prettiest in Europe). The lack of in room tea / coffee facilities in most of the rooms betrays that little extra attention to detail being slightly lost or maybe thats a strictly british requirement.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a bath

we made a 4 days trip to prague and found this lovely hotel by chance. it is situated in the middle of the romantic part of town. the hotel has a charming atmosphere and the owners are very helpful and friendly. breakfast in their small courtyard is perfect. however the walls are not very thick and there are rooms which are only separated by a (locked up) door, so you can hear every word your neighbour is saying. parking space is available, you have to pay for it but your car parks in a good and secure place close to the hotel.

We just spent 3 days in Prague at the Hotel U Zeleneho. It is located about a block off the main street leading up to Prague Castle. The Hotel is modern with nice rooms and showers. The breakfast is excellant. The staff is very helpful. When we arrived after taking the train from Berlin we were informed that they were overbooked and did not have a room at the hotel for that night. They drove us to an apartment for our first night and then moved us back to the hotel the next morning for the rest of our stay. I would stay at this hotel again. The only disadvantage is the hotel is located about 3/4 of the way up the hill to Prague Castle. This is an advantage if you are visiting the castle but can result in climbing back up the hill if you are visiting the old part of town.
