“Pleasant and centrally located”

We stayed at this hotel for a short break in the city and were positively surprised by the great location and amazing views of the bedroom. This is a traditional style hotel with a classy old-world charm which goes very well with what one expects from this romantic city. Our room was spacious -actually it was huge- and well-appointed. The furniture was not particularly modern but it wasn't old-fashioned either; this is not the usual IKEA style chain hotel. There was a sofa, coffee table and desk with chairs, plus a good view of the city centre from the window.
The breakfast was very good, with plenty of tasty cakes and other Central-European specialities like smoked fish, hams, sausages, etc. We also had dinner at the Vltava restaurant -it's certainly worth it since you enjoy the gorgeous sight of the Prague Castle lit by night- and enjoyed it too. I am not a great fan of MItteleuropa cuisine, but my trout with cream sauce was pleasant and all the dishes that came out of the kitchen looked carefully prepared and presented.
The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful; they arranged our airport transfer in style -booked a Mercedes!- and there is also a Casino at the hotel for those of you on a business trip with money and/or time to burn.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking onto the Castle side

Myself, 3 sisters, 1 niece and a friend have just come back from a brilliant weekend. The hotel was just what it says on the tin. They were extremely helpful even before we had left England arranging transfers for us. The rooms were large enough to accommodate 3 beds as well as sofa and coffee table (often 3 in a room means all on top of each other). Ideally situated for access to all aspects of Prague and if you are not that nimble on your feet, taxis cheap enough. Even the extra cold weather did not spoil it for us as the hotel was snug and once outdoors there was hot wine, hot chocolate or even all the usual chains like Starbucks, Costa and McDonalds.
Go on give it a go.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front offer the best viewsof the river and castle but may suffer traffic noise, we were...

Suposed to be a luxury hotel for business or high end tourism and the guests where more like convention business visitors and low cost tourists!
Despite the location and quality standard shown, all the equipments, furnitures and design is very old fashioned, out dated and with suspicious cleaning.
TV was not plasma, network TV system was not working and wifi stop its functionement at 00h30 despite it is necessary for business travelers; at 09AM when I was making check-out internet conexion was still not working.

- Spent 4 days in the hotel beginning Jan., no bathrobes, no slippers, climate control not working (lots of noise and no efficiency, got sick by the end of the jurney) , after you flush the toilet water continues to run for the next 2 hours, only 2 big towels! no small towels for face of hands, staff are like sleeping cows! Receptionist gave me documents with financial information of someone else and when I said that doesnt belongs to me she said " well this is not yours then" no sorry no nothing.
Some another idiot from reception desk throwed me an envelope with somebody tickets inside under the door while I was out and came to take them back half an hour after midnight when I was sleeping already! he was knocking the door until I woke up and gave him his bloody envelope >:(

+ not bad location, free wifi, average breakfast,

5 Star? no way.

Stay away of this hotel if you want to spend your holiday in Prague without problems.

Room Tip: definitely not 318 and 231

This hotel was a base for a 3 day visit, so minimal time was spent here. The hotel was excellent value & perfect central location.
The rooms were huge and kept very clean.
We only ate breakfast there but it was of a good standard.
The most impressive feature was the most stunning view.

We stayed at this hotel the last weekend of November, and it was a cold experience, but the hotel made us feel so much warmer! Mu mother arrived on Wednesday and received an upgrade on her room. I was at home, and skyped with her and was really impressed with the room we were going to share. The next day me and my sister arrived and our mother had already checked us in. They had been a bit reluctant when she asked if my sisters room could be some where close by ours. When we came to the room we understood why. It was the next doors room, with connecting doors and 180 degrees view out of the window with the lake and the hill on one side and the Jewish quarter on the other. I've stayed at several hotels, but never had such a large room! The bathroom that I shared with my mother was big, my sisters was double that size! Had we known upfront we would probably have switched rooms, but no complaints in that regards ;)

One of my biggest trouble when travelling is the sleep quality, I need a soft bed, and I was very pleased when my mother could inform me that I did not need to bring my tempur-madras. The bed was very comfortable and the only
thing missing was my boyfriends shoulder to make it perfect ;)

Breakfast was good and the service was kind. We had bought a bottle of wine on our way there, and needed a bottle opener, and when we asked the waiter in the bar to lend us an opener he gave us his personal (that we came back with as soon as the bottle was opened ;) ). Over all we had a fantastic stay and would most definitively stay there again!

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room towards the river, it is such a nice view to wake up to!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very pleasant. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom, perfect in the winter. We received a room with a view to the back street but Prague is beautiful in every way so we didn't mind at all. The breakfast was great; a lot of variation and everything was tasty. The hotel has free wifi in the lobby, but not in the room. Unfortunately, it is allowed to smoke in the lobby (much like everywhere in Prague) and there were always smokers there.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It's 5 minutes walk from the old town square. We walked everywhere, there was absolutely no need for transportation. Also, after seeing a lot in the center, we personally found the other side of the river much more appealing as it had a lot of small romantic restaurants, so the location of the hotel was perfect, all we had to do was cross the bridge near the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a beautiful room, great breakfast and spot-on location.
