The President hotel ticked all the boxes for us, great location, very clean, good sized room with a large bathroom and 2 hand basins and two showers. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety. All of the staff were helpful and polite. It has good free reliable wifi in the room. Tea and coffee was provided in the room which is non existent in a lot of other hotels now. Some areas look a bit tired and the air con was not real cool but it was fine for us and overall it was a really good value hotel. However if you have a spider phobia I'd suggest you don't stay there as outside the window there were hundreds of spiders in webs. We never needed to open the window so it did not matter to us and there was a letter in the room stating that they were in the process of having them removed.

Room Tip: If you don't like a noisy room ask for one away from the main road.

The location is excellent but very thing else is down hill. The staff are not friendly. The hotel is dirty, carpet in my room and breakfast area was never cleaned over the time I stayed there. The windows were not cleaned with cob webs. At no time was my bed made, and housekeeping forgot to leave towels and toilet paper. The carpet where we had breakfast was all torn and lifting away from the seams. Very noisy with car traffic. I would never return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Never book this accommodation

Good location, to old town in 5 minutes, next to river. Friendly staff in general. Rooms and facilities are outdated; dark wall to wall carpets, dark wood... soviet style, not 5 star. Breakfast was good / very good

A five star hotel in a great location in Prague, that’s what you expected from President Hotel. Not bad reviews at all. Well if you like to live in a jungle (urban) please go to President Hotel. We arrive at 3.00 pm and room are not ready, ok we have a walk to check nearby hotel. When we back go to our room (top floor with extra of river view) and we enter in a room wide but very old fashion and with bad maintenance. Towels are old and broken, shower pipe broken missing water, very, very old carpet (smells like old one).
But our best surprise is waiting in our windows; thousands of spiders are waiting to open windows and go in. Unfortunately not just outside, inside I kill three spiders (I am a country guy and live with bugs, but not that kind). We call front desk and they promise to clean our room. Next day two spiders down, see (rude) front desk women and ask to exchange room. They told us that hotel is fully booked (false we check online). Worst part, answers from front desk: “deal with it”.
If I not prepaid I was leaving this nightmare hotel at this moment but unfortunately we stayed five days. I will never back again this hotel.

Room Tip: Never a top floor room

President hotel has not been a good surprise. I booked the hotel with my fly, so I won't tell you anything about the price of the room, but I can tell you that this hotel is not a five stars hotel : at the reception when we arrived no welcome just a short 'hi', and nobody for the lugages. When we arrive in our room we have been impressed by a such big room with a very large bathroom. But that was the 'window shop', details are sad : paper left (during all the week...) under the table, need to live a message in tchec for having new sheets, need to go to the reception 'cause the bathroom has not been cleaned, and towels not changed, one night no light when I wanted to read before sleeping the lamp on the night table was out of order. Fortunatly, the breakfast was generous and the place of this hotel in this so nice town very well situated. I sincerelly hope the hotel will make big efforts to reach a five stars level. I might go back to Prague but in an other hotel.

Room Tip: Une chambre sur l'arrière de l'hôtel restera plus calme qu'en façade sur les quais passa...

The President Hotel in Prague was a perfect place to spend a mini vacation. The rooms are
clean, large and comfortable, and the staff is patient and helpful. It is in a perfect location--by the Vltava River, near the docks for the various boat cruises, not far from the promenade and the Charles Bridge, and very close to the Jewish quarter and three of the Kosher restaurants in Prague. Also easy to get to the Sparta Prague ice hockey team's arena and the Prague Castle. In addition, it is near the largest mall in the city and the famous clock in the old city square. Accessible by public transportation, too. The price is right, too--not the least expensive hotel, but certainly not the most expensive--and definitely worth more than you'll pay...I highly recommend staying at the President Hotel when you visit Prague.

Room Tip: I selected a non-smoking room, and was pleasantly pleased to have one facing the river--excellent vi...
