This an Art Nouveax hotel with great charm. The included breakfast buffet is excellent in a sun filled room. I had a very quiet room. The hotel is near many restaurants and entertainment but is not in the central hotel/shopping area. It us within walking distance of The Charles Bridge, Jewish Quarter, Wen Square, OldTown and a huge modern shopping mall. Minutes from the subway. The rooms have refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, and tv. Most of the staff speaks Eng well. Traveled alone and felt quite safe in the whole city. The front desk staff can be uncooperative, haughty and unresponsive. Don't let that deter you from this gracious, old European city and hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to Jr Suite-- it's very roomy. Some hotel rooms in Prague can be small.

Stayed 11-13 November 2011 for a mini break. Booked this holiday on the back of trip advisor recommendations and people, you didn't fail me. This Hotel is just on the edge of Old Town, and is 100 yds from the Powder Tower. A gentle 10 minute stroll gets you to Old Town Square and a gentle 20 minute walk through beautiful buildings, quaint alleyways, cobbled streets gets you to the Charles Bridge. We used Prague Shuttle - again another trip advisor recommendation - to get from the airport to the Hotel. www.prague-airport-shuttle.com. Our flight was late but Chris was still waiting for us and on the return the guy turned up right on time. Anway, back to the Hotel..... on check in we had been upgraded to an Executive Room - I had emailed the Hotel as it was a special occasion - hubby's 50th - and within a few minutes of getting to the room they sent up a bottle of champage and chocolates. How Lovely, thank you.

The room has flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom whilst small has all you need and is spotlessly clean. If travelling with hand luggage, you won't need to bring toiletries as shampoo, conditioner body wash is provided. No hassles at the airport. Beds were really comfy and with secondary glazing and dark curtains despite being at the front of the hotel we had no disturbances.

Breakfast as has been reported in other reviews is a self service buffet affair; a good mix of hot and cold, breads, fruit, ham, cheese, juices, bacon, sausages. Excellent and at the weekend the breakfast times 6.30am to 12.00pm !! Weekdays till 11.00am. The staff are all friendly and helpful and all speak english. I really rate this Hotel and would have no hesitation stopping here again.

Prague - a beautiful, compact City which you can easily do in a weekend. There are the usual hop on hop off bus trips and guided tours but to be honest you can walk to most places. Even the castle and cathedral from the Hotel Central was a leisurely 40 min walk, but can be interpersed with pit stops for coffee and strudel. All the food we had was well presented and delicious. But be warned, Prague is not cheap. There are numerous places to eat to suit all budgets but when we went exchange rate was100 czech crown = £4.00. Therefore two coffees and two cakes at a classy cafe cost about £15. That said, they were really lovely warm strudels, with whipped cream, sprinkled with nuts and chocolate, oh yes .....

Loved Prague, Loved K & K Hotel Central, Loved Prague Shuttle, Loved the Czech people. Work tomorrow........

Great hotel, located in the old town. Short distance to most of the sights.
The hotel is old & modern, tasteful and clean.
Always included breakfast and internet.
If you need Wifi, ask for a room with good connection, my did not.
Great staff and service!

From the moment the taxi dropped us outside we were charmed by this beautiful hotel in the heart fo Prague.
The modern aspect of the building have been sympathetically and skilfully blended to form a comfortable yet affordable base to see the city, the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the new town are all within an easy stroll.
Reception was freindly and efficient, we were provided with all the info we needed for the hotel and also given some helpful tourist infromation, maps etc.
All the staff we came into contact with were polite, helpful and spoke good English.
The room was decorated and furnished to a good standard, the bathroom was spotless.
Breakfast was served on the roof of a large glass box, the box itself served as a conference room, which sounds strange but which was a nice area. The food in the morning was a continental style buffet with the usual selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and bread though there were some hot options availablle, the sparkling wine was a nice touch.
Although the weather prevented us from using it, there was a nice courtyard area with seating and heaters.
no problem with us leaving cases and organising taxis on our last day.
All in all a very enjoyable stay and to be much recommended.

Located right in the heart of the old town of Prague. Very reasonable room rates. The mood of the hotel is a combination of Old and New world architecture. Breakfast was very well laid out. Staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Room Tip: all rooms are very well insulated. Dont bother getting a room with a view. The view of the hotel ins...

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this hotel which started before we arrived. We were originally going to use public transport from the airport but on the day of departure I e-mailed the hotel and asked if they could arrange transport which they did within half an hour. We were met promptly at the airport and had an excellent ride to the hotel. At booking in the Reception staff were efficient and the porter very helpful. The room was located in the new annexe and had everything we required (including free tea and coffee making facilities)plus free wi fi. We had clean sheets almost daily and we overlooked a beautiful garden belonging to the hotel next door. Our room was quiet and the lift was quick. Breakfast was a buffet in the 'glass cube' which used to be the theatre. We could not of asked for any more from a hotel. Keep up the high standard.

Stayed at this hotel recently. Prime location just down the road from the Powder Tower. Reception staff were very good and answered any questions we had and a quick checkin and out. Nice little touch was the sparkling wine left in our room for our anni! Rooms were a good size, bathroom good with a good powerful shower. Beds were comfortable. Our only critizisim was the very soft pillows which gave us both a bad neck in the morning - when we requested firmer pillows - they didn't have any. Breakfast was plentful and lots to choose from. The sparkling wine also added a nice touch to breakfast! Would certianly come back here again but we would bring our own plillows!
