Booked this through lowcostholidays.com.. arrived and the staff checked us in promptly and were very welcoming. Got to our room, was a triple room when we booked a double so was very spacious, also very clean...when we noticed we didn't have a shower curtain, we went downstairs on our way out and left a message at reception, on our return a shower curtain had been put up in our room.. very happy.

The hotel is 2 mins away from the old town square so location wise its perfect, close to the sites, but far enough away that you get a peaceful nights sleep :).

Breakfast was great and plentiful..and again the staff, quick to lay a table for you if any weren't available. Good choice between hot and cold options buffet style and hot and cold drinks available as you want them.

All in all a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book here again if we are ever lucky enough to return to Prague

Room Tip: Get a view on the top floors for the best views

We (a german couple) stayed 4 days at Hotel Astoria, our first visit to Prague. We had a "sky-looking" room (superior room) at the 8th floor, with a fantastic view over the roofs of the old town and the castle illuminated in the back. Our room 802 had a small balcony as well, i think it is the only one with balcony. The lower floors have no view at all - but offer the service of a nice city-hotel as well.
The hotel is situated in the narrow streets of the old town, near some of the most interesting art-nouveau-buildings. Try cafe or restaurant of Hotel de Paris around the next block! Service at the hotel was good and friedly, breakfast good.

Room Tip: 8th floor is a class for itself because of the "castle view" over the roofs of Prague. 802 best because of small balcony.

My fiancé and me decided to stay in that hotel after having a look at its reviews. What a good choice! This hotel is in a perfect location, only 3 minutes walk to the old town square.
It's also very clean and the staff are very friendly.
Another thing that we loved is the breakfast. Good choice of continental and English breakfast.
We will definitely stay in Astoria hotel again and would recommend it.

I spent few days in Prague during cold spring and I stayed in Astoria hotel. It was amazing stay for me, the hotel is so well located just few minutes by walk to the Old town square and all other important points in Prague.

We arranged the upgrade for Castle view and it definitely worthed it. The view is just breathtaking! Our room was new, very nice and clean. We slept very well.

Breakfast was tasty with planty of choice, fresh fruit, hot meal, pastry...

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had no problem.

We really ejoyed our stay, thanks to Hotel Astoria.

Room Tip: Castle view really worths it...

This hotel is in a perfect location. The rooms are small, but clean, the shower is good powerful. We couldnt get the heating right so at 6am in the morning had to open the window, and it was -4. Views aint so great in anydirection, but I think this is the the case anywhere. It is located just at the back of the Old Town square, at the back of st James chuch, and the Metro is just 5 mins walk at the next square. There are plenty of bars to eat and drink near to the hotel which are a lot cheaper than those on the squres. Breakfast is fair/good, bacon, sausage, eggs, chips? or wedges? cerials and old meats cheese, salad and breads and toast, so Im sure you will find something to eat.

Room Tip: Corner would likely be best, but we could see the chuch from the back, top floor would give best views.
