Had a 3 days stay at Boscolo hotel/ January 2013. Enjoyed my stay a lot. The hotel itself is beautiful, well located, the premises inside are well made, very light and calming lounge music is perfectly suits to the atmosphere of the hotel. Rooms are very clean, cozy and well furnished, I do not really like sleeping in hotels, but here in Boscolo the bed was very good and I managed to relax, as I would when being at home. During the day I had many business meeting at the hotel conference room Carmen, and I should say that this conference room is as well nice. The food offered at the hotel was very good, good breakfast indeed. Great thanks to hotel staff, they all are very attentive, helpful and always smiling, thanks to hotel employee Sven who helped me during my checking out, he was very supportive and it was nice talking to him. Overall, should I need to come to Prague I would choose Boscolo for the stay.

After reading reviews of this hotel I’m probably going to duplicate most of the comments, but would like to write a review as we really did have a fantastic stay at the Boscolo. We visited Prague for the Christmas markets in December and stayed for 3 nights.

The hotel is very grand, lots of steps at the entrance take you up to the lobby which is beautiful, lots of marble and mirrored windows. Check in is done sitting at a table rather than a front desk and was quick and informative, we were able to check in early which was great. We had requested one of the newer rooms as they were more to our taste, although did sneek at look the older style rooms and they also looked nice in a more art deco way. Our room was perfect, large bed, nice modern fixtures & furnishings, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & board, bath robes & slippers. The bathroom was lovely, modern with nice toiletries etc. Slightly worried the water was going to be brown after reading some of the reviews, but it wasn’t!

We felt the location of the hotel was perfect. We headed straight to the old town square which was literally right out of the hotel, right again and then straight, 10 mins walk max.

We had drinks and a lovely dinner in the hotel bar on the 2nd night. Very funky/modern décor, the bar area is lit up at night and changes colour. We thought drinks and dinner were reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. We ate in the bar rather than the main restaurant as we preferred the menu, but sitting at the table it felt more like a restaurant than a bar. After dinner we headed to the cigar bar for a night cap, which used to be the old bank vault, lovely old style room, leather chairs and wood panelling.

We had breakfast at the hotel every morning which was included with our room. This was great, it was served buffet style in the bar area with tea & coffee being served at the table for you. Good choice of everything, from continental to full English and a chef to cook eggs/omelettes etc. Served until 11am which was great as we then didn’t need to stop for lunch.

The spa in the basement of the hotel is gorgeous. With temperatures outside around freezing it was great to come back to the hotel and have a swim in a lovely warm (candlelit) pool. There is also a steam room and sauna and nice furniture to relax on, a really lovely setting to chill out in.

Our flight home wasn’t until 9pm and the hotel happily gave us a late checkout of 2pm rather than 11am. This was surprisingly free of charge and they were even apologetic that they couldn’t let us stay longer due to the hotel being full that night!

We can’t say enough good things about Prague, it is such a beautiful city especially in December with all the Christmas markets, decorations and lights. We would love to return and would definitely stay at the Boscolo again if we did!

My adult son and I stayed for 3 nights here at the beginning of January. All in all, it was a great stay. The public rooms are magnificent; some old-worldy and some modern (the bar). The pool is incomparable. And most importantly - I have never encountered such smiling and helpful hotel staff---all the way down the line. They seemed to genuinely like their work and made us feel welcome.
A few quirks: bidet was not immaculate upon arrival. It just needed a quick rinse, but why should I have to do that? The limited amount of towels were embarrassingly cheap, as were the bathrobes. Only 1 small bar of soap was provided---now, I like to have soap by the shower/bath and one by the sink for hand washing! Maybe these are Boscolo standards. When I spoke to the very nice receptionist at check-out, he really didn't understand why the towels and soap were a problem. I didn't mention re the bidet. . .
Our room, 438, was very small. Maybe because we had asked for 2 beds. But bed linen was fine and we were able to control the heat, which was great.
The location is fine---just a couple of extra blocks from Old Town Square, and we felt completely safe walking back and forth.
The concierge printed out directions with tram stops for us to get to Petrin Hill. However, he marked the map completely wrong for the John Lennon Wall which we later saw was clearly on the map! No matter, we had a nice walk.
All in all, a great stay.

The hotel is well located, near tyo Wenceslas Square. Our group was checked in quickly and correctly. One problem encountered was that one of the rooms had a broken lock. It appeared that someone had earlier forced the door open by charging at it with their shoulder. This left us a little uneasy about security at the property. The hotel bar was extremely expensive. A pint of beer was 7 euros. Over the road it was 1 euro !! The room was small but well furnished and it had a view of a brick wall about 20 feet away.

The location is perfect, very quite street and 4 min. walk to the centeral areas.
Very impresive historical building that need little upgrade in rooms and some extra touches of contemporary items in public ares.

We stayed at this hotel when we visited Prague for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The photographs on line are a little misleading however it is a grand hotel - like many buildings in Prague. The staff were very attentive and most kind, I would go so far as to say one German lady member of staff was most helpful and did go out of her way to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you want modern rooms then you need to book the new wing of the hotel- these are nice quality hot...

This is a hotel that from the very first moment you stop outside it has a very warm welcome, the lobby is just looks real class as well as the bar area, and the spa and pool area is the main reason we stayed here.

The room was a superior with king size bed and even though was facing the street, we had a very comfortable noice free 4 night stay. However we was told it was a superior, however after reading other comments on here this room had hard floor not carpet so we are now wondering if it was a superior? And was on the small side with the ceiling being bigger then the room, it was Room 109

The only bad points were that the drinks & food was very expensive and the food was not as good as we had hoped, the lighting above the bar had some bulbs missing and you could see dust around the empty glasses, breakfast was poor, eggs, bacon, sausage, egg were all cold every day, (4 days) I have read that some one else has made the same comment in December, so the hotel has done nothing about it. We did speak to who we thought was the f & b manager, but he said it was not his problem and speak to reception, we did and nothing changed. We spent over £650 in this hotel so this was not typical 5 star service really could do better, maybe we should have complained louder.

The hotel location is fantastic, 10 minute walk to the old town and main bars and nightlife.

So all in all could do better, for me 5 star hotel should be everything with no exceptions, sort out the small errors and you could be great. We arrived on the 2nd January and we stayed in room 109, this was our honeymoon so nothing could really ruin our stay.

Dear Valued Guest,

thank you very much for sharing your experience with us and TripAdvisor community.
I am happy to learn that you enjoyed your honeymoon stay in Boscolo Prague hotel; the location, the design of the hotel and our relaxing SPA area. Let me assure you that the room 109 is a superior room; due to the historical layout of the building our superior rooms have different features, some have wooden floor and some of them carpet.

I feel sorry to hear about your experience in the INN OX bar and during the breakfast. Please accept my apologies and rest assure that needed actions were taken in order to avoid that our guests would have similar experience in the future.

I hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you at Boscolo Prague for your 1st wedding anniversary! I can assure you that your stay will be faultless!
