We spent four days at this gem of a quiet hotel which lies close to the castle. The views from the terrace are stunning and there is easy access to the tourist hubbub of central Prague by tram. The staff are young, enthusiastic and helpful. Our rooms were clean and spacious. And there were some nice touches - including fruit in the rooms and complimentary fizz at breakfast. Much enjoyed.

Dear Guest,

thank you for staying in our hotel and for writing such a nice review. As you mentioned, Questenberk hotel lies in a Castle area, which many people incline towards as it is quiet, peaceful zone, yet is full of exciting sites not to be missed on a visit to Prague.

I am always fascinated to walk through the surrounding streets, looking at the glamorous architecture of pastel colored buildings, inhaling the atmosphere, my mind tends to drift away and I feel like in the fairy tale books from childhood.

You can actually see the sheer amount of people hurling to pass the Charles’s bridge in both directions, whilst enjoying a refreshing beverage on our hotel / restaurant terrace, which we are already planning to expand in the near future.

I want to thank you for your compliments regarding our stuff and services. Our team will be pleased when I will pass your nice words to them, because we always try to do our best, even if it´s as subtle as helping you find directions to a restaurant or making sure there´s not even a spew of dust in your boutique room.

I am glad that you were also content with the amenities waiting for you upon your arrival. We really value our guests and this is only one of many ways of letting you know.

Once again thank you for the review and we are looking forward to see you again.

Yours in service,

Robert Safarik

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were great and had a old charm about them. There was free wifi, a nice terrace for drinks and lunch, and a great continental breakfast. It is very reasonably priced for what you get.

We spend 3 days in this hotel !
We have to say that is located, far away from the city center and the hike up hill is a pain.

You have to be prepared to hear the church bells from the nearby monastery from 6 AM in the morning, and after this is you will have an average room !!!

The staff and facilities of the hotel were outstanding, but even they close bar at 9:00 !!!!
if you take a room for less than 100 euro it will be perfect if not avoid
At the end of the day is everything about the money :)

Dear Guest,

I would like to thank you for staying with us and your valuable feedback.

In Prague you will find different sights to see and you can barely be at all of them at once. The Questenberk hotel is located in the historical part of the city called "Hradcany", which is due to its historical buildings under UNESCO. The part of the city where we are located is known also as the Golden Prague. Not even 3 minutes walk from the hotel you will get to the Prague Castle, the biggest castle in the world, which was built since the 9th Century!

The Questenberk hotel, is among the buildings that have a very rich historical background itself - in the early 1600 Kaspar von Questenberg started to build his own private palace on the top of the hill with one of the best views of the city just next to the Petrin Park with its copy of the Eifel Tower. Therefore it is an enjoyable walk down the hill and I myself prefer to use one of the trams coming back.

Our hotel aims to be a boutique hotel, it is rather suitable for people, who love history, are looking for something special and wish to avoid the downside of the city. If you prefer night life with bars and parties it is better to choose for example a hotel in the Wenceslas square.

Since the hotel is part of the Strahov Monastary, next to Saint Vitus Cathedral and Loreta, yes you do here bells. However, Prague is called the City of 100 spires, there are bells and the sound is all around.

I regret that we did not live up to your expectations, though I do hope you have otherwise enjoyed your stay. Lastly, I appreciate that you mentioned that you were satisfied with the staff and the facilities of the hotel.

With warm regards,

Robert Safarik

We found that the staff were very co-operative in dealing with our requests and needs and worked very hard to provide a 4 star plus service.

The location is nice but wished we got a better view from our room but we did not book early enough. TV wifi and fridge along with tea and coffee in the rooms were all good.

Wished they had some net curtains in the windows as if you want the windows open you are a bit exposed!

The terrace out the back was to die for with not only a fabulous view even on a rainy day but the barbecue and bar as you walk by just makes you want to order something to eat.

Talking of which, one pf the finest breakfast selections in a long time - well done and good service by the serving staff too - makes a refreshing experience! Return booking, yes we probably would next year and perhaps for a bit longer too as its not a noisy area and transport seems very good too.

Thanks to all the staff at the front desk for helping us - regards !

Dear Guest,

thank you for staying in our hotel and for writing your nice words. I am very grateful for all of your compliments, including the quality of the service provided. Our whole team is always pleased to hear such kind words and it is the exact thing that keeps us all trying to do even better.

In case you really decide to give us a chance of welcoming you in Questenberk hotel again, I definitely advice you to consider booking the Grand Deluxe room, which guarantees a view over the city, is more spacious (especially 406), offers a set of carefully selected bedroom blackouts and much more, including the complimentary A' la carte breakfast, late check-out, etc.

Once again, thank you for choosing our hotel and we are looking forward to welcome you back.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Safarik

Dear Andy J,

thank you for highlighting the charm of our hotel and it's location which is a truly gem in the very heart of Europe. I am happy to read that service provided by my colleagues is high-level and equal to service of the best five stars hotels. We pride ourselves on taking care of our valued guests, make them relax and enjoy their vacation.

Prague Castle location is really enviable. The area where Strahov Monastery (which we are part of) is located is considered as one of the most prestigious in Prague, called Golden Prague. Everything is close at hand and yet the atmosphere of Petřín park and the old Strahov seems out of this world.

We are immensely pleased that you have discovered the charm of magical Prague as well as our boutique hotel and that you fully enjoyed your stay with us. We appreciate you are our guest and as always we will continue to look for ways to give our guests what they want on holidays.

With warm regards,

Robert Safarik

Dear guest,

thank you for refreshing your memories from your recent trip to Prague. We are all glad that you were satisfied and you have enjoyed your stay in hotel Questenberk.

We try to do our best to keep the historical charm unlike from making huge modernizations. You may find original wooden beams and ceilings on the upper floors or enjoy your breakfast in a consecrated chapel where our breakfast room is. The spirit of history can be felt everywhere in the hotel neighborhood.

We are looking forward to see welcome you back in the near future.

Hotel Questenberk. What a fabulous place to stay in Prague. We checked in after 14 ds' cruise and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The personnel is very caring and attentive. We were delighted in all aspects. Amazing location, clean and very quiet room, wonderful breakfasts, complimentary water and fruit in our room and not to forget sparkling wine upon our arrival. We felt very welcomed. I would not change anything about this hotel and I would recommended to all my family and friends.

Room Tip: This hotel is 17 th century building with thick walls, rooms are very quiet.

Dear guest of the Questenberk hotel,

thank you for your valuable review and your recent stay which I believe will give you only nice memories of Prague. We are always very thankful when we read about your experience of our charming city and hotel Questenberk. I will be pleased to share your compliments with whole team.

We are happy to know you have enjoyed our hotel and overall your stay in Prague. You are right that our location is away from the rush, next to Prague castle which takes only 5 minutes walk to reach the Soldiers of elite Prague Castle Guard welcoming you at the main gate of Prague Castle. Visitors to Castle Hill love to watch the changing of the guard - which happens every hour, on the hour. At 12 noon, it's possible to watch a special flag ceremony during the changing of the guards.

During your next visit you may enjoy the view and tasty breakfast at the terrace, which is open also for the breakfast now and gives you the best start of your day.

We are looking forward to welcome you back here at the Questenberk hotel.

With friendly regards,

Robert Safarik
