Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay. The personal, attentive check-in and welcoming make you feel special. The location is perfect because it's on top of the hill across the river from Old Town. Easy to walk down to the Charles Bridge and cross over. The views from the area are spectacular. The service was wonderful. The staff was quite helpful. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Spent two nights at the Questenberk. Used their car for transport from the airport, which was very nice. The check-in took longer than expected, and the complimentary drink and information session was nice, but the young lady was not sensitive to the fact that we had only one day in Prague and were eager to get going. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Our room was in the front, overlooking the square. It was very noisy and we changed to a different room the next night - no problem. There are some good restaurants nearby, but the hotel staff was not helpful in directing us to them. One member of our party could not walk far or up hills, which was a challenge in finding restaurants. Breakfast was great, but getting coffee refills was a little challenging. Would definitely return if visiting Prague again.

My boyfriend and I were very happy to have found this wonderful place to stay in Prague. It is not far away from the main tourist attractions in the Old Town (within walking distance) and the hotel has a lovely view of the city on the hill - very beautiful and relaxing! The staff was very professional and helpful throughout our stay. They provided us some useful information about the public transport for getting around the city. It was an excellent stay and we will happily stay there again when we visit Prague in the future!

My wife and I stayed in May in Prague. We had chosen it from their Website und positive reviews of Tripadvisor. We were happy with the Deluxe room since which was very spacious and nicely furnished. The staff, the breakfast, the location, and the views were impressive. It’s one of the two best hotels during our eight hotels we stayed in May in Europe. It's an old, beautifully remodeled building by the Strahov Monastery. Upon arrival, we were given a tour and taken up to the restaurant terrace to enjoy a free drink while he went over everything about the hotel, our stay, and possible things to do in Prague, and someone took our luggage to our room for us once the room was ready. The room was adorned by beautiful wood beam ceilings, and the bathroom was nice and more than big enough. The breakfast selection was very good and included homemade yogurt with fruit and typical Czech sweets. There is also the possibility of ordering eggs cooked to order, omelets, and scrambled eggs but unfortunately at an additional charge. The breakfast room is nice, and there are a few tables with a great view of the city. The views of the city and over to Petrin Tower from the restaurant terrace are beautiful. The hotel is up a very steep hill, but it is an easy, short walk down to Prague Castle, and about a 20 -30 minutes walk downhill to the Old Town Square. We walked back up to the hotel, which was every time, a bit tiring. If you don't want to walk, there is always the possibility to take a taxi. Anyway we prefer the location to any location downtown. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and small shops along the way down the hill. Unfortunately very touristic and it was even hard to find a typical Czech restaurant, but this is the same in the city. The hotel is located a little bit away from the main tourist area but easy to get there which makes it more enjoyable.

Top scores we give to the staff we met. This includes reception, the restaurant staff, all extremely knowledgeable, friendly and polite and all other staff we met. Everyone was very willing to help make suggestions for tours, activities, dining, etc. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if we visit Prague again. We have recommended already to friends and family.
With pool which you don't need in Prague it would be rated a 5 Star hotel

Room Tip: Chose a Deluxe Room in the second floor. We had one

Firstly a special thank you to Jiri (George), Jacob, Jaroslav and Linda - everyone was lovely but you guys all made our stay all the more wonderful!

My girlfriend and I agreed, whilst this was not the most high class hotel we have stayed in, however, the staff and personal touches made it the best hotel for us!! The breakfast, the welcome drink, booking restaurants, changing our room for something more romantic, asking us at 2am when we got back from our last night "do you need us to arrange a transfer tomorrow evening?"

I have enjoyed some excellent service around the world - but for ALL reading this, the staff at Questenberk raised the bar!

p.s. the view from the hotel is spectacular - it's worth having a drink watching day turn into night from the terrace bar if a warm evening.

p.p.s. there is one table that you will want to eat breakfast at! you will know which one when you see it! Wait for the table, breakfast with a view of the city is the icing on the cake!!

The staff was amazing, they helped us with a lot of great advice and suggestions, and were very sensitive and helpful. They saved us a lot of wasting money from tourist traps.
The breakfast was excellent, and the view was amazing.
There is also easy transportation to the old city.

The hotel looks like a church but being small offers excellent personal service starting at check-in. Rooms are smallish but well appointed with mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, in-room safe and nightly turn down service. Breakfast offered a good selection but can't comment on other meals as we did not eat in the hotel. The hotel is close to Prague castle and has tremendous views over the city - the walk back up the hill from town may be difficult for some but was good exercise after dinner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Location of Questenberk hotel is special for its breathtaking view on the entire city of Prague. Within moments you are able to reach Prague Castle (approximately 5 minutes) and other most visited Prague's sites such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Town and Old Town square. Its unique placement gives you infinite options how to plan your journey in Prague. Only steps from our hotel you can enjoy the calm of Petrin park which is the biggest park in Prague and it is a pleasant place where to spend end of your day with an evening walk from the town. The building was built in 17th century and it served as a formal private palace to Sir Caspar Von Questenberg who was a German priest, Abbot of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery. Sometimes the building is misinterpreted as a church, because the architecture is very similar to the one found in Strahov Monastery which is located only 2 minutes of walking through our terrace restaurant. Our hotel is suitable for clients of all ages, families with children, couples, wedding occassions or business trips. Staying in hotel Questenberk will give you unforgetable memories and will definitely make your stay in Prague even more enjoyable. ... more   less
