This is a very basic hotel which is a bit grubby and down at heel. The rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast was the same every day and sadly, sometimes the pastries were stale. The beds are VERY hard and very noisy - creaks and groans everytime you move! The bedding is clean and extra pillows were given when we asked. The towels though leave much to be desired. One lot we had were more hole than towel and others were very rough and non-absorbent.

My pet hate of continental hotels reared its head once again - no tea/coffee making facilities and nowhere to buy a drink on site - not even a bottle of water. Still, we always go prepared with a small kettle and a couple of cups!

final criticism - no hair dryers!

Having said the above, you pay for what you get and this hotel is definitely in the budget category. It is well out of town in Koblisy, but is very close to the C metro line and two trams which go into the centre of town in around 15 minutes. Not one for a special occasion but for a cheap weekend to Prague it is ok.

Finally a recommendation for somewhere to eat - Restaurace u Hofmanu at the top end of Ke Stirce. Full of locals drinking good beer, it provides simple but tasty food.

My wife and I stayed at this location on two separate occasions, 7 nights total. It is a BUDGET hotel, so nope, there are no frills and it is a little rough around the edges (not the cleanest hotel I have ever been in, no A/C). BUT.. it does have plenty to offer.
I dealt with 4 different front desk staff.. all spoke wonderful English and even went so far as to assist us with pricing out different train/bus tickets to our next destination and went out of their way to answer any questions we had.. the staff was wonderful.
The breakfast is good, better than most continentals offered in the U.S. The Transportation into the city is great, inexpensive and very easy. The tram stop is less than one block away (15 minutes to city center) and the metro station is a 5 minute walk (8 minutes to city center).
If you are looking for luxury, go somewhere else (and pay for it), this is a great stay for a great price.

I am trying to be balance up here. The staff is very friendly (the one that welcomed us at the first day, subsequently, not that great, quite rude and stoic) and the breakfast selection is very good - even though they did turn off the light at 10 sharp when we were still eating. But then again they did say breakfast from 7 - 10. At least they didn't shoo us out of the room and took our plates away. Could have been worse.
The bad points: location is FAR from the city centre. But there is a tram stop close by from the hotel that can take you straight to the main attractions (around 25 - 30 mins). Area itself quite quiet and give a lil dodgy feeling.
The WORST point: flea invested. Got 'nice' souvenirs all over my arms and back - but then I am quite allergic to dirty/dust places. My other half doesn't get itchy bites at all. So if you are allergic to fleas then this place will be quite a nightmare.

Room Tip: The one that doesn't have fleas and cleaned regularly

Hotel Henrietta, not a good area, lots of "down and outs" drinking beer around the Metro Station/tram station. Hotel rooms old and in need of a good clean in some places. Breakfast awful, if you haven't eaten your breakfast by 10am, the staff turn the lights off and you have to eat it in the dark! How rude! A bit like Faulty Towers, difficult to communicate with staff, Couldn't window as there was a wasps nest outside. Scraggy ripped towels left and we had to ask for toilet paper! Easy access though by tram, bus or metro underground.

Room Tip: Ask for a clean room.

This hotel is a brilliant bargain. I was a little worried after some of the 'mid range' reviews on here but I did think that it is the internet after all and people love to complain so we booked it anyway. I could not be more pleasantly surprised!

Firstly, the location is fantastic, within 5 minutes or less walk from a metro station which leads into the centre of Prague - so easy and the trams run even closer to the hotel.

The rooms themselves were great, we booked a triple room and it had more than enough room, the shower was so powerful, the beds were so comfy. The rooms were cleaned every day and always spotless. The hotel even had free wifi on every floor and being an internet nerd I took full advantage - great speed! They provide a computer in the lobby if you need one too (for free)

The breakfast was amazing, we started to wonder how they could afford to do all this for such a low price - great buffet european style.

Also, the hotel restaurant served great quality food (and beer) and the restaurant and desk staff were super friendly and understanding of our ignorance in trying to speak some Czech!

Would DEFINITELY recommend and come here again.

Room Tip: One tip... not the rooms but at breakfast - it took us a day to figure out that the water cooler als...
