Sir Toby's is great! We didn't even take advantage of most of the cool hostel features but instead found it to be an excellent alternative to a hotel. Our room (Podzim) was huge and seemed to normally be a 4-person dorm.

All in all a great place for coming and going as you please. Also really close to three of the places we really wanted to visit (and you'll probably notice a theme here...). Cross Club, Pivovar Marina (microbrewery with large outdoor seating area and amazing food) and Letna beer garden are all easily walkable.

Trams 1, 14, and 25 all stop just around the corner and it takes very little time to get anywhere. We actually preferred the location to being right in the centre as it was really quiet at night, even with the windows open.

We had a great 3 nights at sir Toby's, such a friendly and lively hostel. Really helpful staff and a fun crowd staying there! We were also there for their free BBQ which was great. Evenings in their downstairs pub were really chilled and cheap, don't forget to try their homemade cookies!

It is a little less central than some hostels but tram was so easy and close (the hostel sells tickets). We definitely would come back!

We stayed in the 5 bed dorm which was nice, all single beds and no bunks- bonus! Reception staff were helpful when I asked them questions or directions. One tram directly to Old Town where the walking tour starts from. The night we arrived there was a free BBQ and another night there were free crepes. The best thing about this hostel though, is the breakfast. Served from 8-12, you can do what we did and get there early for breakfast and then hang out there and meet people and then have a second breakfast at lunchtime! 5 euros for an all you can eat buffet of the typical continental breakfast selection as well as pancakes and omelettes, muesli, yoghurt etc. A nice common area and they have a large communal kitchen if you want to cook your own food.

Okay so location could be better but once you get the tram and metro sussed out its really easy to get to anywhere around the city, and if you want to walk it only takes about 40 minutes to the centre.

I stayed in a five bed dorm for 4 nights with loads of space and the most comfortable hostel beds i've ever stayed in. The shower was actually very nice and it wasn't like a normal hostel where it randomly decided to burn/freeze you. The breakfast costs £4 for an all you can eat from 08:00-12:00 so i basically had two meals during that time, they offer a variety of fruits, yogurts, bacon, meats, pancakes and eggs. The guest kitchen is also very well equipped.

With all that out the way my three favorite things abut this hostel where the staff, the bar and the people I met there. The staff were very friendly and engaging, were keen to offer advice whenever you asked for it and were genuinely just awesome people. The bar is probably the social epicentre of the hostel with the happy hour from 6-8 offering beers for £0.80 a pint .. i met some awesome people here. The bar staff themselves were also fantastic, offering us a variety of local shots (ask for the mouthwash shot, its better than it sounds) and encouraging us to party.

In conclusion go to Sir Toby's and you will have fun

P.S. Wesley, Danielle and Julie are the best

Room Tip: Try to get one of the back rooms as there is less road noise.

I stayed here for 3 nights on my own and I loved the old style charm of the place. I met heaps of people while hanging out in the bar and the beds are super comfy !! It is out of Prague but you can easily get the tram in and it's close to lots of discount mini markets which is great for cooking your own meals. Loved it!

I was a solo traveller and usually not the most outgoing or party animal kind of traveller. However with a pub downstairs and the World Cup in full swing I found it very easy to meet people and have a good time. My room was a 5 bed dorm and was clean and comfortable and I always felt safe and secure wth my belongings. Overall I'd recommend this hostel to any kind of person stopping by Prague

When I was a kid hostels were worthy facilities for people with beards and appendages.

Life has moved on a bit and places like this hostel have got it so right. Decent music, swap war stories and pick up all sorts of advice (absolutely necessary if you want to get wasted and know you had a great time)

it does not matter if you cannot remember jack 'cos that is not the point.

And you can stay in bed all day - crawl out for breakfast - serving til 12 - then back to the pit to set yourself up for another party night.
