Squeezed into a long row of curiosity shops on Nerudova street is a strong contender for the best boutique hotel in Malá Strana—the Hotel Neruda. This refurbished 20-room villa has combined a high level of modern elegance with the original accents of its 14th-century shell. Most of the fixtures—from the fresh new bathrooms to the beds and dining tables—suggest a bold sense of Prague’s promising future, but enveloped within its Renaissance past.

I thought that Neruda was 'nice'. Great location, especially for the castle which was just round the corner, literally.
The staff were lovely. Really friendly and helpful.
We had upgraded to a superior room, but to be honest, I was surprised it was a superior room, but maybe things are just different in Prague. But it was nice, spacious, clean, bath big enough for two.
My only gripe was the bed was SO noisy!! It was a beautiful bed with a huge wooden headboard, that must have been rubbing somewhere for everytime we moved or rolled over it squeaked!! All night long!!
We mentioned this at reception in the morning and they were very apologetic and helpful and offered to move us to another room as the bed could not be repaired that day. But when we returned later that day, the bed had been 'repaired'. It was better, but sadly not completely silent. It unfortunately did mar our stay.
Breakfast, as mentioned by others, was fine. Nothing spectacular, but perfectly fine. Though we had commented that the orange juice was so watered down with ice, you could barely tell it was orange juice, but then we had a slip on the table saying we could pay for fresh orange juice or a variety of other coffees! This is something I would normally expect as standard.
But saying that, the hotel is nice and I would recommend it.

Great location! it takes you only 3 minutes on foot to the Prague castle, many reastaurants arount but no big crowds of tourists like on the Old town square. Be ready to walk from tram or subway station 5-10 minutes, but it is worth it. For couples spa with whirpool is highly recommended as well as superior rooms with open bath. Breakfast is not sensational, the choice is not that great, more women-oriented I would say. Excellent service at the reception.

We were placed in a superior room in an adjoining building. Quite the most odd room and had we not been able to change to a standard room in the main building it would have spoilt our trip.

Great location beneath the castle. Fantastic breakfast.

Great quiet location. Staff just okay. Amazed at other reviews opposite experiences. Stayed 4 nights November 2011. Same breakfast every day. No variety. Waiter unhelpful. Stairs were inconvenient with luggage and no offer to assist. Room was fine. Reservation made online with note that we were celebrating 32nd anniversary, however no mention of special occasion during our stay. Overall nice stay. Bathroom/shower could be better as mentioned by others.

There's no better location to stay foe a city trip to Prague. Extraordinary friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant. The (standard) rooms are spacious and clean. The view onto the Strahov hill is incredible. The breakfast buffet was appropriate regarding quality and quantity. Car parking is quite expensive.

We had a very large room by Euro hotel standards with a double window overlooking Nerudova. The location is great, up near Hradceny and the castle, not too far from the old city.
It was in the recently renovated/rebuilt adjoining building, with tall, curved corridor connecting and interesting alcoves, arches and light fittings. Dining room and breakfasts were good staff very obliging and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights in early September, and while the hotel had many guests we still found it quiet and uncrowded even though the dining room was usually full for breakfast.
The only negative was the bathroom, which was very modern in design, a contrast to the rest of the room, and as mentioned by reviewer Fanny, only separated from the room by plate glass. However, even though it looked great, it was not very practical, with no shower screen or curtain, and no fitting to attach the shower head (hand held only). There was not even anywhere to hang a towel, and so one had to walk dripping wet into the main room to get the towel off the rack. Needless to say the bathroom always got flooded to some degree every night, no matter how careful you were.
Despite this though a generally great stay in Prague.
