“Prague's B & B To Stay! Perfect Location-Thank You Staff for being Wonderful!”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

Enjoyed Prague & this B & B so much stayed a few extra days! With Jakub's & the entire staff's generous knowledge & advice visited the best at the best times. We saw the castle at sunset at a delicious restaurant on the river. Thank you. We really appreciate the great breakfast & security of your B & B & for assisting us to plan transportation & lodging-entertainment- historical places.

Room Tip: We stayed in three different rooms & all were good

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Dum u Velke Boty in late April. We could not have hoped for a friendlier place run in a spirit of fun, yet always efficient and ready to pass on gems of local knowledge. Jakub generously gave of his time to steer us to interesting historical places sometimes off the tourist trail and recommended excellent restaurants. Thanks also to Jan and Tomas and to the breakfast girls (Litka and ?) who were so helpful and cheerful. We loved Prague and would highly recommended this ideally located B&B.

Our trip to Prague was enhanced enormously by the outstanding advice by Jan, Jakub, and Thomas. From the start, we were welcomed with coffee and lots of expert help concerning what we could do for the best experiences. We went to places at the times Jakub suggested, and we missed the crowds. We went to an exhibit that Thomas suggested, and it was fascinating -- the best at the castle -- with no crowds. We took a tour with the group that the family suggested, and it was one of the best we've taken in Europe. We had lovely breakfasts that kept us going through dinner, and the family suggested excellent restaurants. Our room was large, clean, and welcoming. Thanks to all of you for a memorable stay! Jay and Elaine

We had originally planned to stay several nights here. Unfortunately we had to change travel dates and when we did were only able to stay one night. After that one night, I'm really disappointed we couldn't stay longer.

I can't really add anything to what has already been said about the hospitality of the staff. The room was very nice, but we weren't in it long enough to say a lot about it.

We would definitely return if we got the opportunity. If you need transport to the airport, definitely make arrangements with Jakub. We learned so much about the city and it's history in that ride, we wished it could have been longer as well.

We had a wonderful trip to Prague, and so much of it was thanks to the hospitality and excellent service we had at this hotel. Jan and Jakub are so friendly and seem to know everything about the city! We followed through on as many of their recommendations as we could, and we were not disappointed.

The hotel itself could not be in a better location. The street is quiet and safe (right across from an embassy) but is right in the center of the city. You can easily walk to the Strahov Monastery, the Prague Castle, and the Charles Bridge, all within 5-10 minutes. The room was very comfortable and warm, and breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Everyone we interacted with at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for a wonderful trip!

The customer service was stupendous. Jakub was absolutely wonderful. We stayed with our three children and he was so welcoming. The food was great and the art throughout the hotel was breathtaking. The proximity to Old Town makes a huge difference. Be prepared to have your car checked as the hotel is across the street from the German Embassy and the down the street from the US Embassy. This place is a definite must when visiting Prague.

Room Tip: Contact Jakub directly by email. He was very accommodating.

Thanks Jakub & Jan. Very nice house, super location, charming and friendly welcome, nice view of the castle from our little terrace in room 26. We could not have been happier, wishing you the best of luck for the summer. Cheers, Nick

Room Tip: I think the rooms are priced differently so I presume the more you pay, the better the room/view.
