To only recommend this hotel would be an injustice to the excellent staff and it organisation.
The whole experience of staying as a guest in Barcelo Prague 5 as a business traveller is completely professional, helpful , & efficient.
The staff are multilingual, have local knowledge of suppliers and restaurants and are ready to assist.
The meeting rooms are clean, tidy ,and well serviced.
So, a recommendation to business travellers is the very least I can give.
Keep up the great work Adela and team.

Barcelo is nice and modern hotel not far from center of Prague. It´s 3 minutes to metro station and to city center it takes you 15 minutes of nice walk around the river. Room was spacious, cleaned and very nice. Bathroom is beatiful !!! Breakfast was delicious, I overated both days of my trip :-) The only negative thing was service - bartender in lobby bar was unpleasant and almost rude, chambermaid walked into my room at the samemoment when she knocked to door. At that moment i had dressed only my underwear and instead of leaving the room she filled mini bar and i was looking to her half-naked. Reception was helpful and pleasant.

For Christmas this year we purchased each other a city break in Prague. We used Peaks of Shrewsbury as our travel agents- an excellent choice. Lovely , helpful and informative staff. We flew from Manchester with Jet 2 and stayed a the Barcelo Five for four days. The hotel was placed in a most convenient and easily accessible part of Prague. We were about a five minute walk from both the Metro Station of Andel and the Tram Station- both within a couple of minutes of the centre of Prague.
The rooms were comfortable and hotel staff both friendly and informative. We had a special deal which included breakfast and an evening meal - the breakfasts were excellent , including a varied choice of both continental and "English" styles. The evening meal menus was limited to just a few choices of starters, main courses and sweets but the quality was very acceptable -adequate is a word that comes to mind.
I have no problem in recommending the hotel as a good base to use in order to visit this beautiful and interesting city.
We decided to attend one of the many classical concerts available whilst there and were very pleased that we did so- it proved to be an evening that both of us will cherish in our bank of special memories.
No problem in also recommending the tours- we did the city tour which included a boat trip- well worth it as an excellent "path-finder"

Room Tip: Hotel an easy distance from centre - offers peace and tranquility with the added bonus of being fai...

Spent 3 nights here with friends .the hotel being clean and very pleasant was about 2 kilometres out out the centre of the main town which worked better for us as the metro was just across the road ,and was only three stops away from the main centre .it meant that when we ate out near the hotel it was really inexpensive .one whole evening for four people drinks and food ( we did have several drinks aswell ) cost us around £40 .
Just one problem with the hotel was the hot water or lack of it .after phoning reception Twice on the first morning a technician came up to our room and said leave the water running for 10 minutes to get hot water .what a waste but everything else was spot on .

The stuff was nice from the beginning and gave us feel like we are home. Metro is 5 minutes by walk and it takes you to the center in minutes. Room was prepared before 2 pm so there is not a problem if you are there earlier.

We have just arrived home after spending a three night break in this Hotel with breakfast.
( fantastic choice something for everyone )
I had booked for an executive room with the original booking but after reading reviews I contacted Hotel and upgraded to a suite. We arrived at the Hotel around 11am and were greeted by Petra who booked us in, Petra gave us all the information about the hotel and surrounding area advised us on the Tram and Metro service and the No's we needed.
Petra then gave us a number of Tour leaflets to go over at our leisure and advised us if we were interested in anything we read she would be happy to reserve for us, in all took around ten minutes.( Painless ).
We were on the seventh floor room 703 FANTASTIC we had a Sitting room, Separate Bedroom, Bathroom, and a BALCONY that overlooked the whole of Prague, so it was worth the upgrade.
( very quiet slept well )
The Hotel Is situated outwith the centre of Prague but very easy to get around every where you would want to go, Public Transport is fantastic cheap clean and regular WOW.
We found a couple of tours that we decided would give us a good chance of enabling us to see all that we could in the time we had.
We chose The All inclusive Prague tour< this is a six hour walking tour with a guide including a small boat trip of 45 minutes FANTASTIC. Lunch included at underground restaurant. Our Guide was George who was very informative and covered everything about Prague and its History. Free pick up from Hotel 9am to the top of the castle where the tour begins, you make your own way back which was fun.
The second tour was a Boat trip advertised in the free map you get, see Prague by night including a Buffet dinner a free pick up and return to your Hotel sounded BLISS, it was AWFUL the Boat was grubby the food was terrible and we both ended up with upset tummies and we were going home next day.
I would recommend if you wish to go on a Boat trip to go down to the river and see what you are going to get for your money there is lots of choice to suit your pocket . I wish we had known this.
Overall Fantastic Hotel and great staff, making our stay comfortable Thank you Petra for all your help and assistance booking trips and booking us in all with a smile.
Prague is a Diamond among the Pearls of Cities highly recommended.
Take a sturdy pair of walking shoes both pavements and roads are cobbled, OUCH
Couple in there sixties ( Ruby Wedding gift to ourselves )

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of February, thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Hotel is well presented and staff are friendly and all speak perfect English.

We bought the three day travel cards from the airport and got bus 100 to Zilcin then the train to Andel. The transport system is very efficient and easy to use. Trains go every 3-4 minutes on weekdays and everything 5-6 on weekends. At approximately £2-£3 a day Its also very cheap compared to England! Just remember to validate your ticket.
The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the metro station, its also about a ten minute walk from a large shopping centre. Which has a two storey tesco, food court and loads and loads of shops. We couldn't believe how much cheaper things were in this Tesco than in England. (Also we used our 2000 notes in Tesco without any problem.)

When we arrived we were given a voucher for a free drink at the hotel bar, my boyfriend had a beer and I had a coke. It seemed as if most of the people staying at the hotel were business people and couples.

Breakfast was relatively small, (possibly because we traveled in February) but nevertheless there was still a good selection of food and juice/tea/coffee. Can't fault anything here!

The room was large, well decorated and clean. Had a kettle, safe and all the usual things you'd need. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Bathroom had the loveliest bath and a really powerful shower.

I cant fault anything about this hotel, everything about our stay was brilliant. Enjoyed every minute. Can't recommend it enough.
