We went there for lunch. It got crowded quite quickly. Although the atmosphere is obviously geared towards a pleasant zen experience, it got extremely noisy due to a table of 3 noisy mothers with children. Their constant bawling and general bad behavior made lunch a rather unpleasant experience. Lunch itself for kind of so-so. The soup was good but the vegetarian hamburger was nothing to write home about. The tea they served with the menu was very bland but I am no specialist. The deserts looked good (the reviews mentioned it and we were intent on trying the Earl Grey creme brulee) but we gave up because of the generally dissatisfying experience. However, since some of it may have to do with the noise level from this particular table, I may come back to give them another chance with the creme brulee.

Dear visitor,

thank you for your feedback on Tripadvisor. I am sorry to hear, that other customers negatively influenced your experience, but due to our policy, we have to be polite to all of our guests, even a bit "difficult" ones. These particular ladies have been several times noticed to calm their children down, but sometimes you just cannot command a child what to do. Some other guests uncomfortable with the noise asked to be moved to significantly more calm upper part of the tearoom which was done instantly. I believe that your review probably reflects your mood this day, rather than the quality of our services and food. I hope that next time we will fulfill your expectations. However, thank you for your feedback and have a nice day.

Best regards
Milan Drimal, owner

I was there for a lunch. The lunch menu had vegan soup, vegan pasta and tee. Desert was for additional fee.

The portions were small and light, but tasted very well.

The tee was very good, but I'm not an expert.

Best tea in Prague! They also have very good vegetarian meals.

Look for the owner and talk to him. Almost exciting as the tea!

It was a very quiet location, food and drink were oriental and lovely, I had tofu teriyaki which was amazing. The choice of tea was massive, as complete novices however we ended up with a rather strong and potent tea which was difficutlt to finish. We would defo ask for recommendations next time from the waitress. Overally very clean and good service

If you're vegetarian or escaping the meat and dumplings ubiquitous in Prague, visit this charming restaurant and tea room. We did three times, or every other day during our stay. We had wonderful service, tried six different dishes, and even more teas, because as we asked more questions about the various teas they actually brewed up some to try. We bought some tea to try and duplicate the "multiple infusion" experience at home. At the end of our trip we most regretted not having another day to go to Bily jerab.
