“Best hostel ever”

There is only one thing to say about hostel one home and that is that it's the best ever, fun, clean and sociable. I just want to thank all the staff and friends I made there, especially Amy for being not just one of the best people I've met on my travels but probably in life generally

I stayed here while travelling with my friend for 2 nights in a mixed 6 bed dorm. The dorm/shower facilities were fine but what really made this place was the atmosphere they created. The staff are very friendly & would go out of there way to help you. They have day trips and evening events each day and have evening dinner (free) and breakfast around one big table in the kitchen which straight away gets you chatting to other travellers. We played drinking games and the hostel staff took us to a couple bars which is great as we became part of a larger group and it was really fun. It is also in an excellent location to access all the tourist spots by foot. If you want a great atmosphere, excellent service and to meet some new people stay here!

Hostel One Home has the greatest staff to take care of you during your stay. Any questions/requests were fully and promptly answered. The staff organize events for each day and serve a free dinner for all the guests, which was a great way for all of the guests to meet each other before going out. Facilities were always clean and available. Prague is a great city, hosted by a great staff. In all my travels this hostel was definitely a grade above the rest.

This is an amazing place for a solo traveller! You are forced to meet people, as the hostel cooks free family dinner every night which we all ate together. Then there are drinking games after dinner for those who want to partake. The hostel then takes you on a pub crawl or to bars til early in the morning, where you will have a great time. The common room has a tv, books and is open all night. Harley's Bar is a highlight for those who go out.

Then during the day, there are many activities such as going to the Kutna Hora Bone Church, spray painting at the John Lennon wall, and paddle-boating.

Cora, Amy, rob and the rest of the staff are great fun, but they are also always willing to help. Breakfast is available at a small fee, as is laundry. There is also free wifi.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. The beds were adequate, the room had a fan which was needed, and the room was a reasonable size, and had lockers. Bathrooms were shared, but I rarely had to wait for one.

Overall, I had an amazing time at this hostel, met so many great people and would recommend it for anyone who wants to explore both the cultural and social side of Prague.

We stayed at Hostel One Paralello in Barcelona which was amazing so we booked Hostel One in Prague. I have to say that this is one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at - the staff (Amy, Cora and Fede) are the best and so friendly! Amy helped us plan our activities and gave great recommendations on where to eat. They also arrange a night out which is so much fun. The breakfast is so cheap and includes eggs. We did not want to leave not just because Prague is so beautiful but also because we loved this hostel!

The staff make this place. They were awesome. They cook you a free dinner every night, which isn't the best meal, but its just a way for the people in the hostel to get to know each other. They then play a few drinking games to oil the social wheels and then take you out every night hand-picking the bars they themselves have tried and tested to ensure you have a great night out. Thus giving it a great party hostel vibe, but at the same time they were respectful of those who wanted to sleep as when we were making a bit of noise they within 2 minutes had moved us into the kitchen to avoid waking the others.

(The staff will also tell you where to go in Prague, during the days, tailoring their advice to the people to whom they are speaking. The staff really got the best out of my stay here)

They are also exceptionally clean rooms and showers here, with computers that are better and have quicker internet than the one I am on now. There is a kitchen everyone is free to use, and is kept really tidy. You also get a breakfast buffet for like 1.5 pound/3 dollars/2 euros.

You'll be exhausted but so upset when you leave, as it is just amazing for young fun people.

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed in so far in Europe. The staff are amazing! So helpful and friendly and they even come out and party every night with the travellers! I was able to stay for free for a few nights in exchange for helping out around the hostel, cooking dinner and cleaning up which was fun! They provide everyone with home cooked meals every night at 8pm, then we do drinking games after. The staff have activities planned everyday for us to do which was really awesome too. There was a huge place for everyone to hang out in and everything was clean. You had full access to everything in the kitchen which meant you could cool anything you wanted! The beds were comfortable and showers were nice and clean. I will definitely be coming back to this hostel again when I visit Prague!
