Stayed in Hotel Unic for four nights. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Prague. Everywhere can be reached on foot. The hotel itself is very modern. The buffet breakfast had so much choice one of the best we've had. The room was very spacious with comfortable bed and great shower and bath room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and perfect English speakers. There is a room for leaving your cases after checking out if your flight is later in the day.

Just finished a 3 night stay at Hotel UNIC and loved it. The interior is modern with clean lines. The bed and super sized pillows were a nice welcome after long days of walking around and exploring Prague. The free buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. I was addicted to the self serve cappuccino machine. We ate at the restaurant one night for dinner and the food was excellent, but the place was dead (it was a Monday night), which was a shame as it's a great space. They need to improve their marketing of the restaurant to attract customers. I didn't notice any restaurant sign on the exterior of the hotel and due to the fact that the location of the restaurant is in the back of the hotel, you would have no idea it was there if you were just strolling by. I would also ditch the paper napkins for dinner. The chef visited our table and was very friendly. We would definitely stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others.

A friend and I (both 19 yes old) stayed at hotel unic for 5 days. The hotel was modern and styled to a high standard, the price we paid was extraordinary for what you get. The rooms were imacculate, cleaned everyday with comfortable beds and pillows (p.s those who complain about the pillows being too big had the option to have smaller ones, or not lie on all the pillows provided!) the staff at reception are very helpful and speak fluent English, we were seen to straight away at check in which only took a couple of minutes. Oh and the food! Brilliant! Definitely get value for your money. The breakfast included was good and varied every day. I would definitely recommend hotel unic to anyone of any age. It is very central as well if you want to sight see. It's on a quiet street which is a bonus because the main streets can be quite noisy, oh and there's a few bars and places to eat on the same street. For those who like a few cocktails (we certainly did) you won't have to go far. I will say it again, I recommend hotel unic, you will not be dissapointed, don't listen to the petty reviews :)

I normally don't pick hotels that have no reviews, but after looking around and finding out that Hotel UNIC is brand spanking new, in the heart of Prague, and at very affordable price for 4 people, I went for it.
From pictures alone, I loved the modern and almost lavish look of the rooms, and wasn't disappointed. In addition, it exceeded my expectations in size: normally, junior suites are one large room, this was truly a suite which actually had 3 separated rooms. So technically, it could fit 5 if not 6 people, as in addition to 2 rooms that one would expect to have in the suite ,there was a "kitchen/hall area" with a fridge, microwave, a wall of shelves, and a foldable sofa.
Naturally, everything was brand new. The king bed in our room was cushy, and comfortable. Two beds in kids' room were large enough and the airconditioner (much needed in summer) was working perfectly in both rooms.
The bathroom was a state of the art.
Check-in and check out was quick and easy, no issues. Everyone spoke good English, which put us at ease as well.
Breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, was magnificent. Meat and cheese variety, fresh local bread, fruits, eggs, bacon, ham, sauteed mushrooms and other vegies. Great coffee. I loved the choices and everything was great quality.
A couple of things that made me rate it 4-star instead of 5:
1. The cost of parking - 30 euro a night is simply a rip-off and somewhat spoiled the value of the overall stay.
2. The bar/restaurant is dead at night and management does absolutely nothing to attract customers. It's not cheap, there's no entertainment and the menu is rather on a thin (more like 1 page) side, which is uncharacteristic for Prague. It seemed like there was lost opportunity there.
3. As amazing as the look of the bathroom was in our room, it lacked in functionality. For a suite, it had very little counter space and nowhere to hang the towels. You'd think it's not a big deal, but when you have 4 people staying for several nights and not enough place for your toiletries, and a hook to hang 4 wet towels, it becomes an issue pretty much instantly.
Naturally, since it was a brand new hotel, there was still some construction going in some areas of the hotel, which although wasn't aesthetically pleasing, didn't bother us and there was no construction noise at ungodly hours. And we all know how much we appreciate a consideration on that matter.

Will I stay in Hotel UNIC again? Absolutely!

Dear „Traveling_Crumb“

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay in Hotel UNIC Prague. I am most grateful for your feedback, which is such a valuable source of information for us and helps us to improve our services.
We changed the concept of the restaurant recently, so now our new Restaurant Manager and her team start to work on the new marketing strategy and special offers. More towels hangers and shelves will be installed to Family Suites during next week.
So hopefully on your next stay with us you will notice our improvements.

Best regards.

Modern and clean.

Short walk to the centre of the old town but the standard of accommodation and friendliness of the staff makes the walk worth it.

The hotel offered a great breakfast.

Tips:

The Black Angel Bar in the U Prince Hotel was great. Very reasonable prices and nice atmosphere if you sit at the bar and watch the waiters make some cocktails.

Restaurant Bellevue was amazing. Really surprised it hasn't got a Michelin star. Definitely book ahead.

We stayed at the UNIC hotel in Prague for 2 nights. Check-in went smoothly and i loved the secure parking. You have to drive into the lift and then go down to the parking area. Very safe! The hotel itself is spotless! Very clean and very accommodating! I particularly loved the restaurant/bar… So cosy and nicely decorated!

We were in a standard room and although not too large, it is nicely appointed and all the amenities were working just fine. We asked for a "green" room with rain shower and got it. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic! So many choices… they even have apple strudel with vanilla sauce, croque monsieur's, etc. Great!

Location is good. It's a 10 minute walk to the center of Prague and its shopping area.

Was it perfect? Perhaps not, because we did miss extra facilities like a spa/fitness area. But all in all, this is a great and very clean 4 star hotel in a good location! Would consider booking it again on our next trip to beautiful Prague!

The UNIC is perfectly located for the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, each being a very short walk away: Charles Bridge is no more than a 15 minute leisurely walk. The street the UNIC is on is quiet, yet feels safe, and the hotel is an oasis of calm - perfect after an exhausting day's sightseeing.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and very comfortable with luxurious bathrooms and the buffet breakfast is civilised and offers a great range of food for all tastes. The lively bars of Dlouha are five minutes away and we particularly liked the atmosphere in the Beer Museum - just 100 yds from the hotel and not a museum at all but a great bar with 30 beers on tap!

All in all we had a great stay at UNIC and if we ever return to Prague we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Airport transfer for about 20 € makes sense too - can be pre-booked and you can pay the driver.
