We had such a great experience with this property! A driver was at the airport exit with my name on it and took us straight to the apartment. I think it cost around $20.00. Upon arrival Magnus was there fixing the TV in the bathroom. He promptly showed us how things worked in the apartment and gave us recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. He has thought of everything that you could ever need or want while staying at the apartment. The bed was comfortable with a memory foam mattress topper. The location was perfect. It was quite yet so close to everything. It’s close to public transport but we were able to walk everywhere. When leaving we weren’t sure what the best way to get from the apartment to the train station. Magnus e-mailed me a map with great instructions. The only thing that could have been better would have been the weather… We appreciate your hospitality and your apartment thank you for making our stay so special.

“What's not to like”

The apartment is a couple of minutes from the river and about ten minutes walk to Charles Bridge. We paid £62/night for three nights and will stay here again when we return to Prague.

The apartment is on the fourth floor of a fairly unimpressive block of flats. It's dark and dated in the lobby and the single lift is not huge. The flat is totally different and has been refurbished to a high standard. You enter to the kitchen and have the lounge and bedroom leading off in front to a balcony. The bathroom, toilet and laundry cupboard are off to the left but the only daylight is from the balcony, so these have no natural light.

Considering the location, this is great value and we can't fault it. My only complaint is that they have a large zebra skin on the wall, which is a bit tasteless and may bother some people (my wife was a bit put off by it).

The kitchen has everything you'd need to cook a breakfast or simple meal and we had all we needed. They had internet and cable-tv but as with most Western European countries, the choice was very limited. (but you don't come to Prague to watch telly).

I was a bit concerned when I booked this as it seemed a bit too cheap - but it's a real find in the heart of Prague.

We got a transfer from the airport which was €25 / Kr 600. With the Euro in nosedive, this is much cheaper in Kr so it's worth having the local currency if you use it. It's close enough to the transport links, but we were feeling lazy.

Liked best: Location
Liked least: Ventilation. It was hot when we visited and there's no aircon. Windows must be closed when you leave so it got a bit stuffy.

The apartment is just on the edge of the beautiful old town but with the amenities of the new town close by. The apartment is perfect for two people who don't cook but a little more cramped for three or more. Generally the facilities in the apartment are good but the kitchen area is a little small and the cupboards are designed for people who are taller than I am. Kate welcomed us to the apartment and arranged our taxis for us. She was very helpful and pleasant.
Restaurants close by such as The Kabul and the Stoletsi are worth visiting. You can take the 22 tram up the hill to the castle and the monastery (excellent beer). Have fun. Prague is beautiful.

“Magnificent and immaculate”

My husband and I stayed in this flat on a holiday to Prague. We were torn between staying at a Hilton or Marriott or staying in a flat. We are SO GLAD that we chose this flat! It most certainly lived up to the rave reviews which led us to book it.

Our first impressions started with our communications with Magnus. Everything was efficient and Magnus was very accommodating when we had to change the dates of our holiday and thus the booking dates of his flat - no problem and he was happy to accommodate. Our next impression came from Dorota who contacted us a few days before we flew out. She arranged for a private taxi to pick us up from the airport which was fantastic.

Upon arrival at the flat, Dorota, a very enthusiastic and smiley person, showed us the flat. She patiently answered all of our questions and made sure that we were comfortable with our surroundings - she made a wonderful first impression on us! She even pointed us to a free bottle of bubbly in the fridge.

The flat itself is as others have described - you really won't want for anything - there are plenty of cooking utensils, a nice stock of tea and coffee (plenty of fruit teas for those who do not drink caffeine) and tons of guides and maps to refer to (don't bother buying any - Magnus has everything). The flat was also very clean and had a great stock of linens and towels. There is a washing machine for use and plenty of room to dry clothes on the drying rack provided (if you are from the USA, please note that most Europeans do not use a dryer, but instead hang clothes on a clothes drying rack to dry). The bed is fantastic - I am usually very picky with beds and have a difficult time sleeping on hotel beds. This one has a memory foam like mattress on top so it was fab! Finally, the cable TV selection was better than what we would have had at a hotel with HBO and a few other English speaking channels. There are also helpful directions on how to hook up your computer to the system if you wanted to watch Apple TV like we did. My husband is a techy and pretty fussy about WIFI in general and was happy with what the flat offered (another selling point over a hotel).

In terms of food, there are plenty of nice restaurants to chose from in the area. For us, part of the attraction of taking a flat was the chance to cook our own food instead of eating out 3 times a day. As others have noted, there is a large Tesco only 5-7 minutes walk from the flat. For the more discerning food shopper, there is also a great place only 10-12 minutes walk from the flat and a glorious place to go for some amazing goodies and treats - it's called Julius Meinl Praha - a self-proclaimed gourmet palace. We shopped there just about every day as they have an amazing range of just about everything and several imports. If you are from the USA, you'll find Pepperidge Farm cookies there, Skippy peanut butter and just about every kind of soda that you might be missing. If you are from the UK or elsewhere in Europe, there is an amazing selection of chocolates, tea (including most of the Twinings range) and biscuits. They also have a wonderful pastry and bread shop and a vegetables, fruits and a meat section. I would describe it as an upscale Waitrose for those from the UK and an upscale Trader Joe's or Whole Foods in the USA.

In terms of proximity to Prague's attractions, you can walk to most places from the flat as it's very central - another terrific feature of the flat. As others have noted, the whirlpool bath with TV to watch is a welcome and relaxing feature to return to after a long day of walking.

If we ever visit Prague again, we will not hesitate to book this wonderful place :)

“Brilliant location - lovely flat”

We absolutely loved staying at this flat for a week in late July, 2014. The Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge ... it's all within easy walking distance. The flat is thoroughly equipped with everything anyone could want during a short stay and has many little extra surprises that make it stand out from the crowd. The balcony is a great spot to relax at the end of a full day out. Local pubs and restaurants are all easy to find and enjoy, public transport is excellent and very nearby! We will cherish our visit to Prague and if we drop in again, we'll definitely inquire about staying at this flat.

My friend and I had an excellent stay at Magnus's flat in Prague. The home is even more beautiful than pictures allude, and is immaculately clean. Magnus's colleague Dorota, met me at the flat exactly on time to provide a walk through of the property and keys. In addition to the beautiful flat (and unbeatable location) Magnus had ample tourist information within the flat to ensure the top spots were not missed. I travel to Prague regularly for work and stay in top star hotels, but prefer Magnus's flat and hope to stay here on subsequent work trips. Many thanks Magnus and Dorota for a wonderful experience.
