We visited here whilst staying in the Park Inn as it is just around the corner and were not disappointed. We had soup & sausages to start followed by Goulash and a pork dish for main. Both were large portions but the goulash was very good indeed with a lovely, rich sauce. For dessert, both the pancake and hot raspberries and ice cream finished off the meal very well.

With drinks the meal was less than £18 GBP which was exceptional value for the quality of the food. I would whole-heartedly recommend you try here if in the vicinity as you shan't be disappointed.

We went for a dinner at U Kroka and we found it closed. So we ended up in this restaurant which was far more better than we expected and very value for money!
We ordered 3 starters, 3 main dishes, one dessert, 3 beers and 2 beverages all for 36 euros. Very tasty and cheap, friendly staff. Menus in czech, english and russian but the waiter also spoke german.

Not quite tucked away under "the other" castle this place was a find! An unpretentious local business obviously serving local and university student trade (University is just the other side of the railway). We had our meal at about 6.00pm (which was probably a bit early - but we had started at 4.30 that morning) and the place was empty but was starting to fill up by the time we left. Greeted by the owner (? who also speaks perfect English) we had a couple of espressos as we waited after ordering, which wasn't long. Decent selection on the menu and very reasonably priced, not high cuisine but good well cooked goodly sized portions. Have absolutely qualms recommending the restaurant.

We tried this by chance when looking for a restaurant in the area, and are very glad we did. There was a good range of authentic Czech food and beer at very reasonable prices. We shared a starter and for our main we had the Bohemian Pan for Two. Including three alcoholic drinks each (beer and wine) the bill only came to 620czk. The waiter (and I presume owner) was a great host and very attentive, but not overbearing. He also spoke excellent English and we overheard him speaking German to some other customers. Service was prompt and food was very tasty. Thoroughly recommend you try this place.

We found this place occasionally but got a very good impression from it. Food was cooked very fast and was a good one, there was a choice of Czech beer which we enjoyed and atmosphere was nice. We were served by the owner who was very welcoming. Would recommend it.
