We're just back from an excellent 4-night break to Prague with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. Stayed in the Roma Suite in the Residence Retezova. Great location -- between the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Helpful service -- arranged trips and transfers for us. Huge suite -- with 2 beds, 2 baths, living room and kitchen/dining room so you could really feel at home. There was a DVD player, but only 1 DVD disc (Shrek 2) so remember to bring your own DVDs (satellite TV had poor selection of English channels). Chose to have breakfast at nearby Cafe Perlei which had much better selection that the attached cafe to Residence Retezova. Other tips -- hotel had free family pass to Prague Zoo (one of top 10 world zoos) which you could use. State Opera is great value (you can take a box for 4 people for the price of a seat in London). Taxis are really expensive, especially if you get them from a rank or at night.

This is a fabulous place to stay in Prague. It is on a quiet street within 2 blocks of the Old Town square. We stayed in the New York apartment - it was huge! We had a lovely living room and a full kitchen where we made breakfast every day before starting out. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are clean & very bright with large windows, and there were 2 bathrooms in this suite - with one larger than most baths in EU hotels. I would recommend this to anyone, and will definitely stay there again!

This is a terrific place to stay. The apartments simply give you so much room compared to a similarly priced hotel. The location is superb. Exactly half way between Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square in the Old Town and trust me, this is where you want to be. We stayed in the one - bedroom Rio suite which while superior toi many 4 star hotel rooms was probably not as good as some of the other apartments in this complex. We loved the winding stone staircase to our bedroom but forget it if you're in anyway disabled or very old.
Large comfy bed. Plenty wardrobe space. Good bathroom with great shower. The living space was great but probably lacked for a couch.
The staff are superb and extremely friendly and great with directions etc
The cafe next door is convenient but that's all. It's a little pricey..

We stayed here for a week in November last year. The room was called the Berlin suite.

The room was great value, especially after we realised that for the price, we got breakfast and transfers to/from the airport included.

Apart from those two trips, we didn't use any taxis in Prague. This was because the hotel is very central in the Old Town and very close to Charles Bridge -- a five-minute walk.

The apartment was large, with a large bedroom, a kitchen/diner and a small shower room. Even though the weather outside was freezing, the accomodation was warm. We had no complaints with breakfast - a croissant, bread, ham and cheese and tea/coffee - and the staff were polite and spoke good English, in the hotel and the cafe.

On the same side road, you can find two more (very local!) bars, both of which are great, and where you can practice your Czech.

We can't fault the place.

Elegant and large apartment, Ideal central location. Very friendly staff. Perfect for a romantic stay, also very practical for a family. Parking in the Hilton Hotel (valet service) quite expensive, around 30 Euros a day. Great coffee shop beside the residence.

We couldn't fault this suite of appartments, the staff were helpful, the location was excellent midway between the Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square, the accomodation was beautifully maintained and the location was quiet despite being near all the tourist sites and amenities. Don't plan on making any three course meals as the kitchen facilities are slightly limited (no microwave for example) but otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

We arrived late Friday 8th August to the RIO apartment and were dissapointed to discover that it did not have air conditioning, which we believed it had [from Expedia description and hotel's web site]. Apart from this the apartment and location are very good, so I am sure this would be great in cooler weather. We complained to reception and they were very helpful and found us alternative accomodation with air conditioning and gave us a discount on the night we stayed. We would return, but if you want air-con, make sure this is confirmed direct with the hotel.
