We're just back from an excellent 4-night break to Prague with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. Stayed in the Roma Suite in the Residence Retezova. Great location -- between the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Helpful service -- arranged trips and transfers for us. Huge suite -- with 2 beds, 2 baths, living room and kitchen/dining room so you could really feel at home. There was a DVD player, but only 1 DVD disc (Shrek 2) so remember to bring your own DVDs (satellite TV had poor selection of English channels). Chose to have breakfast at nearby Cafe Perlei which had much better selection that the attached cafe to Residence Retezova. Other tips -- hotel had free family pass to Prague Zoo (one of top 10 world zoos) which you could use. State Opera is great value (you can take a box for 4 people for the price of a seat in London). Taxis are really expensive, especially if you get them from a rank or at night.
