This is a perfect spot: in the heart of the touristy Old Town, but a block removed from the hubbub. The decor is attractive, the rooms spacious and well appointed, the bathrooms updated, the beds comfy, the windows keep out almost all the street noise. The desk staff are very, very helpful and eager to give sound advice about what to see, what to do, and how to get around in Prague. They were the nicest and most competent people we met in all of Prague. And to top it off, the price is reasonable.
Be aware that weekend nights in Prague are full of roving youth, full of too much beer.
The Czechs have yet to learn how to cook or how to give service with a smile.
Watch out for the taxi drivers. Many have "meters" that charge triple the going rate. We got hoodwinked at the train station.
Don't stay too long in Prague or you'll turn cynical from the effects of too many tourists and tourist traps.
