We were looking for a hotel or B&B in the historical centre of Prague. Found this one on Venere, the price was half in comparison with other hotels around. We did not expect much for such low price, but we were surprised. Perfect location, excellent services by the owner, extra large room, perfect condition! We will definitely return there!

We stayed 4 days in total. 3 nights in one of the back rooms which did not have a view but was nice and quiet and 1 night in a front room overlooking the street with a view and the sounds of the city.

The breakfast was great as well.

We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.
We booked through Venere.com.

Helen

This is more of an apartment than a hotel with no reception but Michal met us to let us know the check in details and allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier than advertised and as we had a late flight & the room was not booked we had a very late check out. There are 7 rooms and we stayed in room 1 on the 1st flr which was roomy with comfy beds and en-suite, sat TV, fridge, safe and a terrace. Although we had no views we didn't mind as it was nice to open a door instead and let the breeze in! Location is ACE, right by the Charles Bridge and breakfast provided at nearby Bohemian Bagel is a bonus (you are given vouchers). Not sure about wi-fi as didn't use but for such a reasonable price I recommend highly!

My daughter and I only had one night here, but now we'd love to come back again and again. Our host, Michal, was wonderful and helpful. He made arrangements to have us picked up at the airport, and then dropped off the next afternoon at the train station. He also had lots of information about the city, including maps and brochures. The room was beautiful, old world charm meets modern conveniences. How perfect can you get?! I couldn't get over the size of the room and bathroom, and the view out the window was to die for - totally worth the stairs. There are rooms that don't require as many stairs too. Breakfast was delicious and convenient, and more than enough to keep us going walking for hours. As a photographer, I loved being so close to everything, what a perfect location. And yet, the room was very quiet for sleeping. Perfect! If you are fortunate enough to make it to Prague (and you should go!), my daughter and I both HIGHLY recommend Charles Bridge.

An excellent choice if you want to experience the magical atmosphere of Prague's history and culture. The location can't be bettered (for my money). Just steps off the Charles Bridge in the Lesser Quarter, which I think is the most attractive part of the city. The Old Town square is only 10 minutes walk, though, and the Castle a 20 minute hike up Nerudova Street (which is an attraction all by itself). It isn't at the heart of the "party town", though - lots of small bars and cafes, but the big clubs are elsewhere. If you're looking for a stag or hen headquarters you might want to be on the other side of the bridge.
Service was superb - Michal was there to meet us, he explained everything we needed to know, and left his mobile number in case we had any more questions.
The room itself (number six) was large and airy, facing directly onto the street. It's a noisy location during the day, but very quiet at night. I think the view is a good trade off for the bustle outside.
Access is by a fairly steep staircase up three floors - no disabled access, so not suitabl for anyone who has problems with stairs.
Breakfast is at Bohemia Bagel across the road - friendly, good service, and tasty food mostly on the American breakfast model - variations on pancakes, bagels, eggs, sausage and bacon feature, but there's also a continental buffet option if you don't need fuelled up for a day's walking.
I'm thinking of rebooking for a week - a weekend wasn't enough.

I wanted a surprise weekend away for my wife - thurs to Sun. Charles Bridge Residence is literally 30 second walk from Charles Bridge. It's on the main street that leads to the bridge, on the castle side.
Michal, the manager, is a great help. Very friendly. He organised a taxi to and from the airport, a bottle of champagne in our fridge, and changed some money for us to smaller notes. He leaves you his mobile number if ever you need him which is nice.
There is no reception - Michal met us as we pulled up in the taxi.
The hotel is spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed and beds made should you wish. Each room has sat TV and ours had a fridge. Room 6 is excellent - big, with clean bathroom with shower and stained glass windows overlooking the street.
Breakfast is in Bohemia Bagel directly opposite the entrance. You get vouchers to use each day from 7.30 to 11.30. They more than cover breakfast. I used one voucher and got 3 eggs, hash browns, sausage and coffee. The pancakes are nice too. We even went back for lunch because the lady is really friendly.
Michal can sort transfers, sightseeing, money changing and late checkout should you need it.
I don't plan on going back to Prague anytime soon as i've been twice, but if i did, i would stop nowhere other than Charles Bridge residence. Compared to other European standards of residences, the rooms are large, clean, warm, quiet and the staff friendly. Location is honestly superb. Go for it.

We visited Prague for our anniversary in December 2008 . It was the first time my husband and I had been and my expectations were high. I am a Christmas fanatic. Friends and family were full of recommendations one of these was for the Charles Bridge Residence and after two superbly friendly and helpful e-mails from the extremely lovely manager we decided to book in.
The hotel is perfectly located right by the bridge - 2 mins walk from Wenceslas Sq and the new town and 2 mins in the opposite direction to the old ( Castle, Petrin Hill, Loreto etc ).
It is warm, friendly, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is included in the price ( we paid 2100czk per night for a large double room with ensuite) and is served across the road in the excellent, warm, friendly and delicious Bohemia Bagel Cafe ( Go here even if you dont stay at the hotel serves excellent well priced food for breakfast and lunch and the staff are very friendly)
Prague in December is a dream come true, castles, fairy tale clocks and towers, snow, hot wine, crispy rolls, carols by candlelight in extraordinary churches ..loved it loved it LOVED it!
