We recently moved to Karlín from Prague 1, and happened to stop by Pete's Burger Pub while walking around the neighbourhood on the first weekend after moving. At first I thought the name of the pub was Kocour, as that is prominently displayed on their sign, but as it turns out it's just one of the beers they have on tap.
Anyway, the burgers are excellent - we both had the Classic and it was exactly how a good burger should be. Additional points go for the buns, which are robust enough to not fall apart while eating, a problem many burger joints have, especially those serving larger burgers.
As it was a beautiful day, we sat outside, where they have an eclectic collection of old furniture that creates a homey sort of atmosphere under the trees. Apparently they used to grill right on the sidewalk, but the neighbours complained and so that put a stop to that.
The Konrad beer I had was good, I'm usually Pilsner Urquell drinker, but it was nice and hoppy. The service was very efficient and friendly, which is a nice plus and something one cannot take fro granted in this land of surly service staff.
