This is my favourite Indian restaurant, I visit it quite often. The service is very friendly and the food I have tasted so far was always delicious. I absolutely love their Chicken Vindaloo, I have never tasted a better one in any other place.

After reading the few reviews in praise of Spice India, we decided to pay the place a visit. The service was friendly but the place had a bit too much of a lunch-place atmosphere for dining.

I sincerely hope that we just picked the wrong time (sunday evening) and that the regular cook was having his/hers day off. We ordered two distinct vegetarian dishes, but they both consisted of soggy, frozen veggies in a watered down and tasteless sauce. We're both regular visitors of indian and nepalese restaurants and the food this time was far from the usual rich, creamy flavors of said cuisine. The waiter actually suggested to make the dishes more tasty or spicy by adding salt and pepper and seemed to be aware of the bland taste.

It feels odd that we had such a contradicting experience with the other reviews, so maybe it was a case of chef-on-leave. Still, not sure if we want to give it another try.

It was our first time visiting indian restaurant, so we were pretty unsure of what to order. The waiter was very, very kind - he didn't hesitate on spending some time explaining us indian food, and trying to figure out what could we like. He was very friendly and nice to us. So, service is excellent.

Food was also great (he obviously took a good guess on our food taste) and we really got stuffed. :D

We were there at the evening, atmosphere was calm, cozy and relaxing. Restaurant is decorated with indian-inspired details and there was authentic music playing in the background.

Price was reasonable for us (but we were travelling on a low budget, so I guess to most of the people this place would be cheap).

Location of the restaurant is in Žižkov, Prague 3, but actually not far from city centre (about 15-20 mins walk), or there is a bus station directly in front of the restaurant, so it's easy to get. Also, it's just a few steps away from Hostel Elf at which we were staying.

Finally found a great Indian restaurant... but it's about halfway around the world from home in California! I ordered lamb phall, and liked it so much that I went back for more a couple days later. This dish is not for everyone, as it is unusually hot. Heat of this degree often overwhelms a dish, but here the heat makes the base of a perfectly balanced layer-cake of flavor. It's a pyramid of spice, stacked very tall.
