We stayed in the hotel in April 2014 for 4 nights as a special treat for my husband's birthday. We pre-booked a taxi to and from the airport via the hotel - great service. The hotel is, as many have said, a "boutique" hotel. Our original junior suite had a great layout with a separate toilet and bathroom (bath and separate shower). The accommodation comprised a king size bed and good sized double sofa bed. We were all delighted with it. The view was excellent to the front of the square. Breakfast was more than adequate. Though our children were bemused by the café setting the staff were helpful and the cooked eggs lovely. After 2 nights we woke to find there had been a leak from the bath above our bathroom, the staff coped well and we moved into a larger family suite above our original one. This had 2 separate bedrooms with multiple windows to the side and front. We could even see the clock tower show from our room! I would definitely recommend the hotel to others. We had only to pop out the front of the hotel and we were in the midst of the action! Even though the square was being set up for Easter we didn't find the noise a problem.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the square are particularly nice!

Great location friendly staff and clean rooms. What else can you ask for in a hotel. It has a lot of character and having breakfast brought to your room or having in the little terrace is a nice add on.

Perfect location on the square. Some people complain about the noise in their reviews. However, we had a room that over looked the square and still found it plenty quiet to sleep. It is quirky to get to since you have to walk thru a restaurant to get to the entry door. There is no elevator or a doorman to help with luggage so I couldn't recommend it for disabled or seniors. The staff, but especially Katerina, were extremely helpful and professional. She arrange a boat tour and a bike tour for us. Both were ecellent and exactly how the activity were described. Room was very large with 1 king, 1 queen and a sofa bed but certainly not your traditional layout. The bath room was large as well with double sinks, a bath and shower. The shower design does created a water puddle on the floor due to very high water pressure (basically it cannot drain as fast as the water out put). We found if you didn't turn on the water to the highest level it helped. It was clean with acceptable furnishings and comfortable bedding. It was perfect for our family of 4!

Room Tip: 21 faces the square and is extra large

My wife and three year old stayed at the Old Town Square Hotel in Prague in May 2014 and can thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is located in the beautiful Old Town Square and we booked their largest suite which has a balcony overlooking the square. It actually sits above the restaurant/café below so we were able to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it and the atmosphere without having to go to the restaurant - which worked out great in the evening with our son able to rest inside.

The hotel is definitely boutique/quirky and our room was massive. The bathroom was very nice. Room service (breakfast) was good and satisfactory for a central European breakfast.

We did not experience any disturbance or unwelcome noise from the square below as has been noted in some reviews.

We would thoroughly recommend the hotel for it's location, boutique qualities and room size!

Room Tip: Choose Room 12 which is the large suite with balcony overlooking the square. It made all the differ...

This is a really nice hotel in an ideal location. On arrival it was a little hard to find even though it is right on the square.you need to go through a pavement cafe to access the entrance. But when we found it there was a guy that had come down to greet us and take our luggage.
The guy at reception was really welcoming and help full and told us he had upgraded us to a suite for free. We were in room 20 which was just perfect, Hugh room overlooking the square and clock tower. Unusually breakfast is served in your room which was nice. Food is very nice and plenty of it.
This place is a must if in Prague.

My family of two adults and two small children stayed here for the Christmas Market season in December, 2013. We stayed in the family suite with the balcony and without a doubt, it is the absolute best room for the Christmas Market! You literally are the only balcony overlooking the markets directly! It may very well be the best Christmas Market view in all of EUROPE! The room itself was enormous and consisted of a king bed and an additional large pullout bed. Breakfast was included and had lots of made to order options. The staff was incredibly friendly, and although the entrance is a bit difficult to find parentheses you must walk through a restaurant to get to the gate and parentheses, you will not regret booking this hotel. And if you are planning a trip to Prague during the Christmas Market season, then this hotel and this room is a no-brainer!

Room Tip: Book the suite that has the balcony overlooking the square. There is only one.

A very personal hello and thank you

its so great to hear that you ahd a lovely time with us and I am so happy we made your stay so memorable.

You are right that with the cristmass market, the xmas tree and all the festive season traditions - there is really no other place like us to see it all from. Furthermore room n12 has the balcony and watching people walk pass is much comfortable from here than being in the middle of the square itself, as at times it does get crowdy.

I look forward to seeing you again

Yours sincerely

Helena

Great hotel, location, location!!! Things I wished I knew before staying there: Stairs, lots of stairs, but I'm in better shape now so I'll consider it a positive. Also, there is no driving in the square the hotel is located, so if you have several bags and they are heavy and it's raining, it's a difficult to get there. Also you have to walk through a restaurant to get inside the hotel so this may mess with your first impression but don't let it. Once inside, stairs are behind you, you can enjoy a quaint but spacious hotel in the middle of the action. Great views of the Astronomical Clock, Old Square with constant entertainment of street performers, and convenience to all Prague has to offer. Staff is helpful with dinner suggestions. The sister hotel "M" across the courtyard has an awesome spa I highly recommend. Also George Prime Steak restaurant in the hotel is American Prime Steaks, fabulous! Also surprised how quiet the rooms were at night considering the fun going on well into the night in the square.
