Reviewed 8 February 2010

Stayed for 3 nights. Comfortable beds, close to tramstop, nice staff. Breakfast is ok. Nice staff. Room was a bit messy, but not too bad.

Perfect for a cheap citybreak!

We read several of the reviews for this hotel prior to booking it. Although we were a little hesitant we needed some place cheap to stay. I did not have high expectations and therefore was not disappointed. The hotel is not the worst I have stayed in, but it is not the best either. The rooms were clean, the service was great and they were very helpful with directions. My husband made a point to tell them about the bad reviews and that we came anyway. I don't know if that helped us or hurt us, but again we had no problems. We did not see any "ladies of the night", but we were never out past 10 pm. Breakfast was typical European fare. Bread, cakes, cereal, cheeses, boiled eggs, meats, but they also had pizza and some other items as well. Someone recommended a great little pizzaria just around the corner and it was a great little place. The tram stops right by the hotel and is easy to use. The metro station is a good mile away. If you are looking for a place to stay on a budget...this is the place. I wouldn't pay more than 50 Euro a night.

Rooms are dirty, service is very poor (staff is rude and impolite), hotel is out of the centre. Even though it's not expensive, I would not recommend going here! It's a depressing place and I haven't felt comfortable at all!

After staying in this hotel for a couple of nights I can say that it's one of the worst hotels I've ever been to! The room was filthy; stains all over the carpet, lipstick and hairs on the pillows and the bed looked like someone already slept in it! Also the service was horrible like we were a nuisance to the staff and really tested our patience during our entire stay.

The first night we stayed here the locker was broken. We asked the personnel to help, but they did not. We left the hotel anyway and we came back a few hours later to find all of our clothes scattered on the ground and our belongings missing including a brand new video camera, an iPod and a photo camera. We were robbed!! The door was undamaged and locked....very suspicious? We were completely shocked and never expected this to happen. As compensation the manager (after asking) gave us another night for half price. Nobody seemed to care, as if this kind of thing happens a lot. Use the locker, and if broken demand another room and please, don't trust anyone...

We had booked a package deal with TicketBande for concert tickets and a night at this hotel. Upon arrival we learned that the hotel charged about $30 Euros a night...this was a huge red flag! A red flag in a red light district!!! Ticketbande charged us over $125 Euros for the night so we expected something quite decent. We went to the room and it only had unattached underlay instead of carpet and there were stains everywhere. We checked out immediately and walked to the Marriott a block away.
