Reception were very helpful in booking us parking at another hotel close by as they couldn't fit our van in their garage, which wasn't too much of an issue. The disabled room is big, the bathroom is perfect for hoist transfers but it smells really badly in there! But the beds are on big wooden bases and are extremely low, so I can't use the hoist and it's difficult to lift from. Breakfast was a bit dry and the coffee wasn't great but filled a gap.

I just had a week at the Alton Hotel in Prague - conveniently located above IP PAV station. The rooms are clean and the service is moderately friendly - they were really helpful when we wanted to add another unexpected guest to the room.

This hotel was decent enough, if you were going for something small, clean, reliable and basic.
however, it's a good 15 minute walk into the city centre (all uphill on the way back) and that can be inconvenient if you're tired after a day's sight seeing.

The facilities are basic and the staff are..also basic in their friendliness.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable though decor a little dated. The location is great. It's next to Pavlova metro and several tram routes. It is an easy walk downhill to Wenceslas square- 5-10 minutes.

Hello friends. In short - this is an underrated hotel worth four stars rather than three. Trust me I saw plenty of better rated hotels that do not even come close to this one for various reasons. Very friendly staff, speaking English and some even German (which is surprisingly seldom in Prague). Rooms are large, well shielded from the street noise, with plenty of space to store stuff. Cleaning service pays attention to details keeping everything in top shape. Breakfast is good (buffet), WiFi is free and the shower pressure nocks you down. There's even a smoking lounge at the basement where an oldies station plays music silently. The minibar refrigerator is empty allowing you to store food and drinks purchased at a fair price from Billa. Oh, some complain it's not central - well, it's actually 5 minutes from the National Museum and right near I.P. Pavlova station, where you can take the subway or the a tramway (including the famous 22). My stay at Alton was very pleasant and if I ever get back to Prague, I will surely choose it again. Greetings Alton from Romania!

Room Tip: I think any room is OK, since you won't hear the noise from the street anyway (two layers of the...

The hotel was off the main city center, but within walking distance. There is very good secure parking for a reasonable addition to the room. The breakfast was good and staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were a bit outdated, but the value was good if your looking for a place to sleep.

Room Tip: Parking is secure
