Just come back from a 4 day city break in Prague, we stayed at the Ventana hotel in a fantastic location just off the old town square. From the time we booked in to the time left we had nothing but great service. Adam who was on duty when we arrived could not have been more helpful and pleasant into the bargain.

We were staying in a deluxe loft room huge 4 poster bed upstairs with a lovely en suite. Very nice rooms. Decent breakfast included in the room rate. There is no restaurant in the hotel but they do have a relationship with a local Italian restaurant to supply room service.

Only small issue I had was they charged us for the coffee sachets in the room which I felt was a bit OTT, however it was on the mini bar charge sheet which I did not read.

Overall would highly recommend

Spent a superb weekend at the end January in the Hotel Ventana in Prague. The hotel has an excellent location right in the heart of the old town.
The room we were given was on the top floor, but was easily accesible via the lift. The room was excellent, comfortable and well appointed with the added bonus of a kitchenette. This particular room is duplex in design with a superb mezzanine floor where the bed and bathroom where located and a huge sitting area below. The only issue with the room was the small windows which which did n't allow advantage to be taken of the excellent location overlooking the old town square.
The hotel facilities are good with a beautiful bar and breakfast area overlooking the Tyn church.
Overall an excellent hotel with an unbeatable location.

A warm welcome was received upon arrival, the check in was efficient and quick.
Helpful staff with great English, and a housekeeper with the widest smile I have ever seen.
The rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Good selection at breakfast and plenty of time to lie in as the breakfast was until 11h00. Location - really close to the Old Town Square and within walking distance of all the other attractions. Loads of restaurants close by.

This hotel is located in the ideal location to get to a range of attractions. It's close yo some lovely restaurants and is certainly in a safe area. The rooms are large and really nicely laid out. Staff are very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel!
The 3 different reception staff we met during a 4-day/3-night stay spoke very good English, and were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We contacted them whilst still in the UK and they got us very good seats for the opera (Aida) and arranged a taxi to take us there. We asked them to recommend a restaurant with jazz music for our first night and they suggested The White Horse (see my review) nearby as they knew we were tired. I even put them on the spot and asked for soya milk at breakfast the next morning which they got without hesitation AND with a smile. AND they did it again each subsequent morning without being asked! Note, however, that they only serve breakfast, room service (which we did not try) and they have a bar - there's no restaurant. Also there's no fitness centre (which is what some other website, not theirs, claimed), but we were informed that there's a gym nearby which one can gain daily access to for a fee.

The hotel itself is a slight mish-mash of old and new. Our double room had very high ceilings, was extremely spacious, and was dual aspect (to take advantage of the view of the gothic Tyn church facing it and the square beyond). It had a 4-poster bed (sans drapes all around) and was very warm - too warm perhaps, but easily solved by just switching off the heating. The hotel is generally very well insulated and warm because even when we turned off our heating overnight, our room was very comfortable even with external temperatures of -12C and snow outside, and I'm someone who could have the heating on 24/7 back home!
The bed was very comfortable - pillows could be a bit better but were not uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean, modern and had (wonderful) underfloor heating which could be switched off if not required. It also had a bath and very good water pressure in the shower without the noisiness of a power shower. There was a hair dryer, ample body/hair/hand wash. They even provided (sealed) bedroom slippers and bathrobes.
My only complaint was that our room (25) was right by the lifts and by the only entrance to the floor. This, plus the fact that it was close to the street, meant that on occasion, we were disturbed by early morning families / late night revellers. I suspect in peak season this could be a bit of a nuisance, but as we visited out of season, it was fairly quiet. That said, the view from Room 25 to the (facing) Tyn Church and the square was lovely - especially by night when the the lights atop the church's spires really add atmosphere and enhance its gothic feel. The spires are much higher than the hotel so the lights do not disturb at all.
Our daughter got a single room (22) which was half the size of ours but still had plenty space and had a great view of the church.
The hotel is quite expensive however we managed to get a good, out-of-season deal where we got the third night for free and breakfast included, so it was pretty good value for money.
All in all, a very very comfortable hotel, made even better by the excellent service and staff. Keep an eye out for Robeir - one of the porters - who (smilingly and shyly!) would not take a tip after bringing up our luggage and showing us around!!!

Room Tip: Room 25 (on the 2nd floor) is near the lift and quite close to street level, so can get quite noisy...

This boutique hotel is very well situatedat the Old Town Square. Most of the places we wanted to visit were within easy walking distance and there are 3 metro stations not too faraway. It is also surrounded by many shops and restaurants.
Our superior room was spacious & bright and the bed nice & comfortable. Despite it being winter & low season, the breakfast buffet laid out each morning was very good.
THe best part of our stay were the staff. The staff at the front desk & the restaurant were very warm, friendly & helpful, always ready with a greeting and eager to engage in at least a short conversation. They were even willing to reassign an arriving guest to another room so that we could have a late check-out.

The location of this hotel just off the Old Town Square is perfect. It is 5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square (which is mainly department stores) and 5 minutes from Charles Bridge. We had 3 or 4 days in early January here and whilst it was cold outside, it was lovely and warm in the hotel. The staff were excellent, particularly Bianca on reception who gave us good advice on how to get to places and Patrik with general advice, especially on where to catch trams. The breakfast are excellent, served in the library/lounge alongside the bar (although I rarely saw anyone use the bar except for the odd afternoon coffee). There is also a computer and printer in the library, useful for printing off boarding cards and checking in (although watch the keyboard as you constantly have to change the language). The rooms are very spacious, clean and well decorated. Beds are comfy, although we had two singles pushed together as a double which was not ideal. The view was of the rear of Tyn Church and a quiet courtyard overlooking an Italian Restaurant. There is an exceptional Indian restaurant 2 mins away around the back of Tyn church in the courtyard on the right. Also, a lively pub just to the right (and then left) of the hotel entrance. All in all probably one of the nicest hotels in Prague and the staff are so helpful and kind - they sent a car to pick us up at the airport and even left a surprise bottle of champagne in our room for my wife's birthday - very nice to come back to after a hard day walking the cobblestones. Well done all at the Ventana - we will be back soon!
