Just returned from a nice 3-day trip to Prague and stayed at Ventana. The hotel was pretty darn good. The location can't be beat merely steps fron the Old Town Square in the heart of everything. The staff was very accomodating. The room was quite nice and they promptly accomodated our request to 'separate the beds' for our stay. I was with a friend, not a spouse/partner. I do think the hotel was on the expensive side for Prague, but they had an excellent breakfast that we fully took advantage of and very nice staff. I had no complaint about the very large room, it had all the amenities I wanted.
We went to 2 good restaurants while there close to Ventana. One was Kolkovne, which is a reasonably priced pub that had really good Czech food but big quantities. THe other was across Kolkovne Street from the pub and was called Nostress, which was expensive Asian/French fusion but good.More
