“Far from the maddening crowd”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2014

At the Mala Strana end of the Charles Bridge there are stairs leading down to the Kampa. It is a broad walkway with cafes and restaurants and turning right under the bridge there are canals reminiscent of Venice. Turning left, and walking a short distance, take a right into a narrow curving lane and follow it across a bridge with a waterwheel and into a small square where the Lennon Wall is located. Learn the fascintating history of this wall from the night of John Lennon's death until after the Velvet Revolution. Returning to the Kampa, a short walk brings you to the park, and beyond it the Kampa Museum of Modern Art. A little farther along is the very good and quiet Rybi Fish Restaurant with a riverside terrace for dining along the Vltava. This area is peaceful, even during the season, as virtually none of the thousands of groups come here. I sat in the park for two full hours reading on a bench and saw a total of six people wander by. A blessing!

“Best start for boat trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

Kampa is a lovely park with a great view of Charles bridge, old town and definitely the best place for starting your boat trip on Vltava river. After walking or boating you should go to a restaurant anywhere in Kampa and enjoy your stay in this beautiful city.

“Romantic, sportiv or relaxing.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

A wonderful place to walk a little and sit under a tree talking, reading or just sleeping. A lot of Czech people use it for many activities. There's a lot of different spaces around the area to visit, from cafes to museums.
Enjoy the sun, take pictures with the giant babies and drink a beer almost without leaving your spot.

“Great view of the Charles bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2014

This is a lovely quiet area away from the hustle of the Charles Bridge, which is manic. There is an area for children to play and a fabulous restaurant called the Kampa park which serves the best food in Prague. A must!
