The hotel is very very nice! Especially for the great discount price we got on expedia! The location is perfect. The only problem we had was the fact that the room was quite cold (it was december) even with the heat fully on. It would be nice to have a portable heater or something like that.

The two things that stood out to me were the incredibly friendly, competent service and the very large suites, Our rooms must have totaled 1200 sq feet at least. The living area held a dining table, two twin roll-away beds for our children, two beautiful sofas and a kitchenettes. Our master bedroom wasn't particularly large, but it did not need to be with such a lovely living area.

The hotel had a very old feeling to it - lots of character one could say. The bathrooms were modern and clean. Maid service and turndown service was prompt and thorough.

Concierge Petr was exceptionally kind and accommodating, and deserves kudos for his patience and decorum.

Location was convenient to all the sights without being in the crowded center of town.

You have to Czech out this hotel! My wife and I honestly couldn't wait till we got home to give this hotel and their staff a good review. Everything is top notch as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. We got to the hotel early but they were able to accomodate us anyway. (if not they would have stored our bags so we could walk around the city) The staff is very friendly and answered every question I had. If you know anything about the "service" in Prague then you know how huge this is.

We have a Junior Suite and it may as well be a regular suite because of how spacious and beautiful it is. We are in the back part of the hotel so we do not have a view of the castle and Charles Bridge but we do have a view of the courtyard which is nice. The accomodations in the room more than make up for the lack of view. It honestly does feel like you are staying in a palace.

Location! With the exception of being right in Old Town square (which would be too loud and chaotic) this is the best location in Prague. The hotel is only one block from the Charles bridge and only several minutes walking from just about everything. It is also just across the street from the river with no other buildings blocking the view. Before coming to this hotel I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Prague Castle which was just up from the Prague castle area, right next to the monestary. The hotel was nice and the location was alright but in my opinion the location on the other side of the Charles Bridge next to Old Town is where you want to be as a young couple. There is much more to do on this side of the river and there are many more restaurants/pubs/clubs within walking distance from Pachtuv Palace.

I have to say that all the reviews I read before coming here were spot on. My wife and I are in heaven right now.

We will post again if for some reason the service takes a major nosedive or a riverboat runs ashore and destroys the hotel but I'm guessin the odds are slim.

Sitting on the river with direct view of the Charles Bridge, this is the location for a vacation in Prague. Good room, comfortable bed, and clean. Staff went out of the way to help with all requests. Did not try the hotel restaurant, as 20 euro for breakfast is not my style. This hotel sits between the tourists' Prague and the Czechs' Prague, so you can walk to either area. I liked it and would use it again.

My wife and I started our 3 week European vacation and were jet lagged. What a great way to rest and explore this fascinating city.

We stayed in Mamaison for our wedding anniversary. The room was fabulous with a big 4-poster bed, nice high ceilings, excellent amenities and very friendly staff. The hotel is right next to Charles Bridge so walking to the Old Time and Prague Castle are easy.

One word of warning, nothing to do with the hotel -we were robbed by a money changer in the street. Never change money with someone in the street, even if they seem to offer better rates than the official exchange bureaux. You will be robbed, guaranteed.
