Truly a beautiful 5* hotel in a fantastic location. Central enough to be able to walk to Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square and must be the nearest hotel to Charles Bridge and some fantastic restaurants. Our room was in the older part of the hotel, we didn't have a view but this didn't detract from our stay and it was HUGE! Big bathroom with seperate shower cubicle, bathrobes, slippers and L'Occitane toiletries a very nice touch. We also were given a half bottle of champagne on ice in our room to celebrate our anniversary! The only thing that dampened our stay was the rain (in July!) but the hotel came to the rescue and provided us with umbrellas.
I would gladly stay here again and am really missing it already! Would love to return in the winter months when the Christmas market is there, with hogroasts in old town square and the patio heaters and blankets provided in the outside restaurants.

Room Tip: Email the hotel a long way in advance if it is a special occasion, they are very good with room upgr...

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary from 15th to 18th Sept. We had arranged for a transfer with the hotel car (about £30) the driver was waiting for us when we arrived at airport with a nice audi and bottles of water for the 25 min journey. I would definitely recommend this service. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and did not expect use of our room until later but were informed that it would be ready for us in half an hour - great! We had booked a junior suite with a view of the river and castle and were upgraded free to a deluxe suite with balcony (room 209). A huge suite with 5 windows and balcony (see photos). Wendy on reception was absolutely excellent once checked in she went into great detail about local attractions and recommendations, plenty of maps and tour information etc. was given to us. When we went to our room the hotel had left us complimentary champagne and chocs and an anniversary card a lovely gesture. We realised we had forgot to pack plug adaptors so we asked reception where we could purchase them and they informed us they could lend us one. The hotel staff in particularly Wendy and Naomi couldn't do enough for us and we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them - a big thanks to them. The hotel is in a perfect position for all the sights just across from the river and Charles bridge and in walking distance of the old town, lesser town, castle etc. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning it cost about £8 for english breakfast and was well worth the money. We ordered room service breakfast one morning and this was superb so we could enjoy it at leisure on our balcony. The first night we ate at what looked like a nice romantic restaurant called Hotel of the Black Star - DO NOT EAT HERE! We were served mussels which were still half frozen which we obviously sent back and they tried to charge us for them, when my husband refused to pay for them they threatened the police on us! The second night we ate at the rooftop restaurant of the Hotel U Prince this is a must you have views of the square with the astronomical clock and views of the castle lit up at night it is a very romantic setting and the food is among the best I have ever had and at a very reasonable price about £80 for 2 courses and a bottle of wine. The third night we went to see Carmen at the national theatre (our first time at the opera) a real treat. All in all Prague is a beautiful city and the Pachtuv Palace is a very special hotel that I would recommend to anyone, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Room Tip: Room 209 has the only balcony overlooking river.

This is really the perfect location to see Prague, surrounded by all the sites, restaurants etc (on the edge of Old Town, The Jewish Quarter and just over the Charles Bridge to the Little Quarter & Prague Castle) as this meant minimum travel, which we did all on foot and therefore maximum time out enjoying ourselves. Our 5 night stay was barely enough time to do everything we wanted to in our 1st visit! The hotel is fantastic and we got upgarded to an executive suite to celebrate our silver wedding. Over a welcoming glass of champagne we had the most helpful advice on a city /resort we'd ever had. Then to continue our celebrations there was a bottle of champagne on ice in the suite! The staff went that extra step to really make sure that everything was perfect. Many thanks to Wendy and her team for sorting our seats at the Concerts and the Opera House, for all the restaurant recommendations and advice on the sightseeing. Evening meal at the hotel was top notch & breakfast allowed you to just have what you wanted and priced accordingly. Many, many thanks Wendy for all your extra help in making this our own very special celebration. Our 1st Mamaison Hotel visit and with this top class service it will encourage us to try another one.

Room Tip: rooms at the front have a view of the river/castle whereas quieter overlooking the courtyard. Room 5...

It is with GREAT pleasure that we so highly recommend the Pachtuv Palace. After all-it was where we got married!!! Who was to know what we would expect to find when we booked to have our 6 day stay and wedding reception here.It was idyllic-the staff were attentive but unobtrusive-the location was perfect-the setting was romantic-the food was glorious-the rooms were unique and stylish, and we were treated like royalty! We cannot thank you all enough for making our fairy tale wedding come true-memories which will last forever! xx

Room Tip: Our room had a balcony overlooking Charles Bridge-what more could you ask?!!

My husband and I, decided to stay at this hotel to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. We booked a room with a view and that is exactly what we got..with 3 windows looking out onto the Charles Bridge with the Castle and Cathedral in the background. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Due to an early flight we arrived around 10:00am to be greeted with a glass of Champagne and the news that our room was ready. Being ready, included rose petals on the bed and around the bath plus a bottle of champagne chilling...what a perfect arrival.
The staff was very willing to make all the dinner reservations we needed at various restaurants we tried. They were also full of information of things to do as it was our first time in Prague. We would most definitely recommend this hotel...our anniversary was extra special because of all the extras. Thank you.

Room Tip: Highly recommend a room with a view

We loved the beautiful historic feel of this hotel. How often can you say you stayed in Mozart's stomping grounds in X city? (Prague in this case)It has great boutique service and the rooms are very nicely outfitted. We stayed in a basic room and enjoyed the luxurious linens and amenities. We found the concierge and desk staff to be so professional and accommodating when we were having some trouble with our flight home. The location was amazing, super close to the Charles Bridge and about a five minute walk from the old town square.
