Pachtuv Palace is a remodeled residence of a former nobleman. The elegance of this hotel definitely lived up to this heritage. The reception area is light-filled and renovated to resemble an art gallery with art works tastefully arranged throughout. I booked a junior suite through expedia and was immediately upgraded to a deluxe suite upon arrival by the friendly staff. The hotel is designed around 2 courtyards. The courtyards have paved cobblestone grounds with whitewashed exterior and ivies climbing along the walls. The suite I stayed in is located on the second floor overlooking the inner courtyard. The rooms are very large. With vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, large windows in every room, and sculpture in the bedroom, the suite is designed to convey a palatial ambience, and it’s successfully done. The staff is simply superb: very friendly, accommodating, courteous, and professional. The location of the hotel is ideal. It’s located just a stone’s throw away from Charles’ Bridge on the Old Town side. It’s the perfect central point from which to visit all the sites in Prague. It was a very memorable stay made perfect by a very engaging staff. I look forward to stay at Pachtuv Palace again the next time I visit Prague.

My husband and I just came back from a full week in Prague. We stayed at the Pachtuv Palace, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect hotel in an amazing city! The hotel itself is outstanding with great history, including the fact that Mozart stayed there. You will not find a more gorgeous and historical hotel in the best location. It's just a short walk to the famous Charles Bridge and a short walk into the Old Town Square. We were surprised and thrilled to find that we were upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived, and the room was absolutely beautiful with amazing views of the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the river! The room was just perfect...all of the old details along with modern amenities, including air conditioning. And, it was also incredibly quiet. The garden is also a beautiful place to just relax and drink a glass of wine. The service is absolutely first rate! Everyone in the hotel was incredibly helpful. Our breakfast was included and it, too, was excellent, with a huge variety of hot and cold selections, not to mention that they will make you fresh omelets and pancakes (which are actually crepes in the Czech Republic). I honestly couldn't think of a more wonderful or perfect hotel to stay in. You will not be disappointed. We highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle! It's an amazing view and...

We recently came back from 4 nights at the Mamaison Suite Hotel Pachtuv Palace Prague. The location cannot be beat. It is in the old town but away from the touristy part. It is minutes away from the Charles Bridge. We were given a huge room with a drawing room with gorgeous views of the River and a separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet room. My husband mentioned that it was a special birthday for me and they decorated our bed with "rose" petals and left us a bottle of champagne. The concierges had wonderful restaurant suggestions for us and there were always beverages and umbrellas (something we needed only at night) at the ready. The hotel is a renovated older building that feels like being in Paris. The courtyard area is cozy and contains beautiful sculptures and flowers. We went on to other cities to stay at wonderful, larger hotels with lavish lobbies (which we also enjoyed), but this hotel is a gem that feels like you are staying in your own, small French apartment building. You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: I understand that some rooms are on two levels. If you do not like this, you should inquire ahead o...

In our recent tour of Eastern European cities, we used TripAdvisor to select our hotels, it was always a balance of picking hotels based on ratings, price and location. We chose the Pachtuv for Prague after much thought and because of its location near the Charles Bridge. When we got there we didn't realize how well located the hotel really was, it was a couple of blocks from the Charles Bridge and easy access to central market square and all central areas of Prague. We stayed at another Mamaison hotel earlier in the trip and service was comparable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating from the initial check in through final check out. Giving suggestions for tours and events in town to helping us make reservations. Upon arriving we had been told an upgrade might be available and they were able to upgrade us into a Jr. Suite. The room had a 4 poster bed, large bath, with (separate toilet area) and plenty of extra sitting areas. The hotel was a converted old palace and was redone very upscale, with many bronze statutes throughout the grounds and garden area. This was a beautiful hotel, located in easy access to central Prague and was a pleasure to stay at.

Beautiful place, excellent service and walk to everywhere. Only regret is not eating at the restaurant. I highly recommend the car service to and from the airport. The staff was extremely helpful in all our requests.
