We have just returned from the hotel having celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in Prague. Having travelled alot and having stayed in some fabulous hotels in the past, it takes something really special to give us the 'wow' factor but I must say we got it with the Hotel Pachtuv Palace. The hotel is excellent and the staff even better, especially Wendy, who nothing was too much trouble for and Robert, the hotel driver. We had arranged with the hotel to be collected from the airport by the hotel driver and although there was a slight delay due to a misunderstanding the mistake was quickly resolved, for roughly the same price of a taxi it's the perfect way to start your trip. Upon arrival at the hotel we were advised that our suite had been upgraded, not only did we recieve a upgrade with a fab view of Charles Bridge but also champagne on ice as well. The attention to detail was something else, from a rose petal heart on the bed to tealights round the bath. Unfortunatly the hotel restaurant was closed for renovation (breakfast is served in the breakfast room and not affected) but to be honest with all the excellent restaurants close by we wouldnt have used it anyway. Excellent location with all the tourist attractions very close by. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Prague look no further.

We are writing to thank you for a delightful stay at the Pactuv Palace, Prague. Everything about the hotel was close to perfect: the location, the rooms and their amenities; and the service. We travel a great deal but have never encountered a hotel with such agreeable and helpful personnel. The manager, Ms. Petra Janouskava, was extremely accommodating, helping us to find rooms to suit our particular needs. Elise guided us to a small, intimate restautant nearby with excellent food. We enjoyed it so much, we ate there each night of our stay savoring the many Czech specialities offered. Elise is a charming asset to the hotel. Petr, too, responded willingly and with good spirit to our many questions and helped to make our stay in Prague so pleasant! Your excellent staff at the Pactuv Palace, the fine service, the spacious rooms, the ideal location -- all combined to make our visit to Prague memorable and enjoyable.

I spent a wonderful week at the Pachtuv Palace over Christmas and it was even nicer than I expected it to be. I had booked a special they were having on their deluxe suites and I expected it to be nice, but it far exceeded my expectations. I was actually given a quiet, large 1 bedroom apartment over looking the back courtyard. The unit was beautifully furnished and fully equipped with everything from a full size washer and dryer to a kitchenette complete with dishwasher, to a wonderfully comfortable bed complete with faux fur throw. My only complaint is that they have the TVs locked so you can't use any kind of media player, except for their DVD player.

The hotel is perfectly located in between the main square and old town, both within an easy 5 minute (or less) walk, and it's also convenient to public transportation. As an added bonus the location of the hotel is even more perfect during Christmas, or any of the other celebrations during the year, when the main square is filled with events, shopping, and more - it's a short 5 minute walk away from the hotel, but far enough to get away from the crowds and noise.

In addition to the restaurants around the main market square, there are numerous restaurants of all types, including street vendors, in the immediate area, and the hotel also offers room service. The main shopping areas are also with easy walking distance.

The staff is top notch and make all their guests feel like VIPs. This was definitely the perfect hotel for a magical Christmas in Prague - I'll definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Pachtuv Palace - our room was beautiful and had a view of the castle, the common areas were relaxing and the staff was exceptional. They assisted us with restaurant reservations, concert tickets and daily advice. I will absolutely return to this hotel!

We choose the Pachtuv Palace for a two-week stay based in part on the glowing comments of others in TripAdvisor. We are pleased to say that our high expectations were met and/or exceeded and are happy to add our own endorsement of this wonderful hotel.
The location is outstanding and it was easy to get to everything on foot--the Old Town, Prague Castle, concerts, cafes, bus and metro stops, and a grocery store (Tesco). The room was spacious and the bed and air conditioning were very comfortable. The room on the court was very quiet. The staff members--at all levels and without exception--were gracious and helpful from the pre-arrival registration and inquiries through the arrival orientation to the final checkout. We used the limo airport service the hotel arranges and it was well worth the additonal cost over a cab. We did not use the breakfast service--even though it was bounteous we could eat for much less in a nearby cafe or with food from the grocery store. The "wi-fi" in our room was not "wireless"--the hotel provided a cable when requested. This was a wonderful experience in a wonderful city. We hope to return Prague and to stay at the Pachtuv Palace again.
