“Perfect hotel with impeccable service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2009

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for an extended long-weekend including New Years Eve 2008/09 and my conclusion is simple: what a fantastic place!

Not only is the hotel itself very stylish and elegant, the service provided from the staff is probably some of the best I have ever experienced. Everyone – and I do mean EVERYONE – provided a level of service that was not only to the extreme professional, it was at the same time and without exceptions done in such a warm and almost familiar way, almost making you feel like a part of a big family. (It might sound weird but that’s how I felt during my entire stay).

On the more practical issues: the rooms are cosy (and include e.g. fluffy bathrobes, free internet access and remarkably comfortable beds), great breakfast, the pool/gym area (even though small) nice and the complimentary free wine tasting in the hotel bar late in the afternoon is just brilliant.

Adding to all the things mentioned above is also the fact the place is also centrally located with several good restaurants around the corner, as well as being just a few minutes walking distance from the Charles Bridge.

All in all and as a final note: my stay at this hotel could not have been more perfect and I will for sure not only stay here again but also highly recommend it to everyone, both on a private and business level.

  • Liked — The outstanding level of service provided

We stayed 2 nights at the Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa and it was absolutely perfect.

We booked a return transfer from the airport and the driver was there approximately 5 minutes after we arrived (our flight was 15 minutes early). It took around 20 minutes to get to the hotel.

The hotel is situated in what we thought was a perfect location. The area is very quiet and safe area (the American Embassy is approx 4 buildings down so there are police on guard).

There are bars and restaurants a couple of minutes walk away, the Charles Bridge a 5 minute stroll and Prague Castle slightly longer although it is uphill! We would highly recommend the St Nicholas Cafe just down the road on the left. We ate there the first night as we didnt want to wonder too far in the dark. We ordered garlic bread as a starter (which was the same size as a pizza) and 2 pizzas along ith 2 bottles of house wine. There was far too much food but it was absolutely devine and the whole meal was very reasonable at £25.

The hotel is lovely and the service was second to none. We were given a guided tour on route to our room. We had been upgraded on arrival which was a nice suprise. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There were bathrobes & slippers and a fruit basket along with a complimentary bottle of water. There is a mini bar but we didnt use it. The shower was AMAZING and the bath products were good too.

Overall, we thought our stay was perfect and we would not hesitate to stay again or recommend the hotel.

If I was asked to change anything in the hotel I would do something with the rugs in the room. They were clean and in good condition but beacuse the wooden floor was highly polished the rugs did tend to move when you walked on them and on a couple of occasions I nearly fell.

I stayed at the Alchymist for a business meeting, and so didn't choose the hotel myself. However, our meeting organisors made a great choice on our behalf. Service was excellent from arrival to departure, lovely rooms and superb facilities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all tasty and well prepared. We worked hard, spending most of our time 'confined' to the hotel for two days, but can honestly say that this was a very stress-free experience. Shame I didn't have time for the spa which looked fantastic. Recommended!

This Spa Retreat and Boutique Hotel is the best kept Secret in EAST Europe.

In Pargue, I don't believe you could be any more secure and safe and at the same time pampered and feel the luxury of a SPA.

The staff is very warm, professional and almost like family.

The Sales Managers, the Front Office Manager Mr. Andoni, the Reception Staff and the GM all are organized and willing to help you ad your family.

The decor and the barooque details and the SPA ambience is outstanding.

I will be back with my wife and children as soon as possible.

Warm regards,
Pete

I booked this hotel after coming across the website while browsing info on Prague. I wanted to take my girlfriend to Prague for Christmas so that i could surprise her with a proposal.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel to the moment we departed the WOW factor remained! staff were very friendly and efficient and always asking if they could do anything more for you. When we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded to a suite (i told the hotel that i was planning on proposing!) where we met with the chocolate strawberries i had ordered and a complimentary bottle of wine. the decor of the hotel is that of sheer luxury and my now Fiance was just delighted.
the hotel is also located in the perfect location just alongside the Irish and American embassies. My fiance and I never had to get a tram, cab or any other form of transport as we were within walking distance of everything - right in the heart of prague.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough and advise anyone travelling to the city to stay here. We will absolutely be returning here.
