My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. We were welcomed and wished a happy anniversary. Our room was beautiful-well worth the value-and in our room a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine had been set out as an anniversary gift.

The room was very very comfortable as was the bathroom. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was served in the morning and the spa was perfectly fine. We didn't have any treatments-just used the sauna.

It is in a great location-less than 5 minutes walk from the charles bridge.

I travel a lot and this is one of the most amazing hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff were warm and attentive, the location in the Mala Strana (the most beautiful, peaceful, romantic area of Prague - yet central) was perfect, the room was comfortable, luxurious and quiet but more than the above, there was a magic about this place - in the opulent furnishings, the spiral staircases, the palatial yet cosy sitting rooms, decked out with gilded mirrors and chandeleurs, the period features in this aincient palace - we never wanted to leave! They even give you real liqueur chocolates on the pillows!!! Minor downside: service at breakfast wasn't great (our order was forgotten), though the food was good. Also the default setting of the room heating is set to swelteringly hot, but there are controls on the radiators to turn them down, so not a problem. All in all would utterly and unreservedly recommend it and will definately come back.

My husband and I stayed at the Alchymist for 4 nights, 5 days from December 28th - January 1st 2010. It was beyond brilliant! We stayed in a deluxe room (the lowest standard room available!) and it was like a palace! Dressing gowns, slippers, ornate furniture, four poster bed, floor to ceiling marble bathroom, free chocolates every night, turn down service, GORGEOUS breakfasts, chandaliers everywhere, out of this world spa treatments, perfect location etc! Tourists walking by the hotel on their way to the Castle were taking pictures of the outside! Could not recommend this hotel more. The staff could not have done more to help us. AMAZING!

Beautiful hotel, if you are looking for luxury, it reminded me of a castle with the beautiful building and furnitures.
The staff were very polite, friendly, smiling and helpful!
They make you feel very welcome and make a warm and cosy atmosphere.
The amenties from L'Occitane gives the "little extra" in the bathroom; which was beautifully decorated and spacious.
(We did not try the SPA at the hotel, but next time....)
We had a junior suite, its not so big, but big enough for two. In the room there were a fruit basket when we arrived, very nice! On the pillow there were chocolate every evening. Me like!
From 5-6 in the evening it was wine tasting, with cheese.
The breakfast was good, but not in the world class. But the surroundings were perfect!
Its near to everything in a quiet street, next to the American embassy, the famous Nerudova street is next to the hotel, and the Charles Bridge is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
If there is anything to comment, the mattress was a little bit hard for my taste, and the duvet a bit to thin.
But it does not scare me from going back again to Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa! :o)

The Alchymist Hotel and Spa is a truly beautiful Hotel, it is superbly positioned and has the most amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The Delux room we stayed in was absolutely fantastic, beautifully decorated and very, very romantic!

The bar, lounge and facilities are breath-takingly beautiful, with gorgeous chandeliers and decoration.

The restaurant is extremely comfortable and the food was very good - the taster course dinner was a wonderful way to pass a very romantic evening.

We got the junior suite and it was incredibly beautiful. Chandeliers in both rooms. Huge golden four poster bed. Just pure opulence. Breakfast is amazing, with freshly baked bread and a free a la carte menu in addition to the buffet. The rest of the hotel is also gorgeous. You really do feel like royalty, with free champagne on arrival. Location isn't ideal but it's in a quaint area and the walk to the Old Town isn't too bad (15 mins) if the weather cooperates. We did have a slight problem with a lack of hot water for a while, but overall, an amazing experience. We'll go back.
