We stayed at Miss Sophie's in October 2011 for 4 days. For the first 2 days, my husband and I stayed in an apartment for 2. This is the most impressive apartment. It is very clean and perfectly designed. This apartment is very spacious. The kitchen is a room by itself inside the apartment. The kitchen is complete with pots, fridge, and complete utensils (can opener included). We've never seen a better apartment than this! The design itself is very beautiful.

On our third day, we moved to an apartment for 4 as two of our friends joined us in our trip. This apartment is a studio type, where the kitchen is integrated together with the bedroom. This apartment, however, is not as impressive as the first one. If we knew earlier, we would have booked for two apartments for 2, instead.

Be careful with the double bed frame! The design is not so practical. My husband knocked his eyes on the bed frame while sleeping. He did not notice it until the next day, where his left eye was swollen. So be careful! Maybe place a pillow to cover the metal edges of the bed.

Room Tip: Apartment for 2 is perfect. We got Apartment 2C.

I stayed here with 3 other girlfriends - we had THE BEST time here! We stayed in Hostels most of our trip, but this was our favorite location to stay. Very nice - stylish - comfortable - perfect!

We stayed at Miss Sophie's in early September 2011. We had a three person private room with ensuite facilties. My first impression was that the room was about equal to a very nice hotel room in New York City - small but comfortable. The room had a double and single bed, TV, AC, safe, with an attached shower and washroom. I slept very comfortably.

The neighbourhood is not a problem. A very busy metro and tram stop is about 200 m away, and another tram is about 100 m in the opposite direction. It is about a 10 minute walk to Wenceslas Square. There are a few pubs nearby, and the Pivovarský dům microbrewery-restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk away. A 24-hour "express" grocery store with limited choices is nearby.

We had the light breakfast option once during our visit. The buffet had fruit, granola, yogurt, rolls, deli meat, and cheese. A more expensive option (about 175 CZK if I recall correctly) gets you an almost personal short-order chef. Other visitors seemed to enjoy the cooking.

We found the staff very helpful with our many questions about the city. They helped direct us to a few local restaurants, as well as the Podoli pool complex.

The only negative was the 4% surcharge on the room bill if you pay with a credit card. This was not a surprise, it was well advertised. However, we were approaching the end of our vacation, and we did not have access to enough cash to pay without the Visa card. We ended up eating the convenience fee.

The rooms are basic and more on the small side, but it was perfect for what we needed as we were not planning to stay indoors all day but to go out and explore this enchanting city.
Everything is tastefully decorated yet very simple.
The shower was a bit strange, it is hard to explain why, but it worked so I am not complaining ;)

The Hotel has a nice little entertainment room filled with board games and books.
We got there in the evening and it was pretty hard to find something to eat nearby.
The staff was very helpful and told us the best place to grab a bite.
City centre is just a few minutes walk away and there is a train station nearby.

Great location; spacious and clean dorm room; breakfast is great and good value for budget travelers. In consideration of all the factors and the price, it's the best hostel I have stayed so far! The only one minus point of the room is there are no hangers and closets for towels or jackets.
