“great place to stay”
Reviewed 23 January 2012

The hotel was situated in the new town area and was within easy walking distance of all the attractions. On arrival at the airport, we eventually found the driver of the free shuttle bus. Apparently they are not allowed to park at the exit level terminal 1 so we had to go to terminal 2 upper level where the driver was walking around with a notice with the 4 hotels in the Your Prague Hotel chain. Transfer was very straight forward,as was the booking in process. Our room was, by most hotel standards, LARGE, with bath and shower and even a bidet. The breakfasts were both varied and plentiful, excellent quality and restocked on a very regular basis.
There are plenty of good quality eating places within easy walking distance, one that we used on a couple of occasions being Pivovarsky Dum at the junction of Jecna and Lipova. They brew their own beer which is excellent as is the very wholesome food and quite inexpensive.
All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and am looking forward to a return visit to this amazing city

Room Tip: We were given a room on the 4th floor which was no bother at all as there are two spacious lifts.We...

Hotel was well situated. Within walking distance to Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge, the Palace and Castle were a tram ride, No 22 from the bottom of the road. Our room was more than acceptable. We had twin beds and a sofa bed for my daughter. We were at the back of the hotel which was quiet. The bathroom had an amazing shower very powerful and super hot. The only criticism regarding the bathroom facilites are the towels, they are very small, if you a litte larger than normal there not a ''good fit''. The room temeparature was a little difficult to control but we were never cold, too hot in fact but one could always open the window. There was free safe in the room which was a very nice touch as usually there is a charge. The bar prices we felt were very expensive in realation to others near by, but that is something perhaps to be expected. Tea n coffee facilites in the room was quite poor, 3 small cups, 3 teabags and 3 sugar sachets, NO MILK !! We quite like a brew so we just bought a small jar of coffee n a carton of milk and kept it in the mini bar fridge. The breakfast was a good selction of continental stuff with scrambled eggs and 'hot dog' type sausages that were very nice. Reception was most helpful, spoke English well enough to always answer our questions. Food and drink out and about varied but a nice steak with sauce and vegetables and a bottle of wine and a couple of beers for 3 people, bout £45/£50 total. If you turn out of the hotel and turn right go to the bottom of the road, the bar on the corner is very nice we had lunch there one day, pork goulash with dumplings, beautiful and the cheapest Brandy we found !! All in all a pleasant 3 days.

Our first visit to Prague and it did not disappoint. The Caesar Hotel also made the stay most enjoyable. Other Trip Advisor comments refer to noise. This was not our experience. We had a room at the front on the 4th floor and we heard nothing from the road. I think some effective double glazing has been put in place. I had expected to have good wi-fi access but this was not the case. You could access it in the entrance without any problem but in our room it was very intermittent. To the hotels credit they did offer to move us to another room but we declined. We did have problems with breakfast. One morning we came down and the hot food was stone cold. I pointed this out to the staff who then realised they had not plugged in the heated tray. Ok mistakes happen. However the next morning the same thing happened and when I pointed out the problem there was no offer to sort out my food. I had to suggest that they may need to heat mine up in the microwave which they did. This was not ideal. Generally the selection of food at breakfast was very good but the staff were a little off hand. Very helpful front of desk especially about local transport.
The 14 tram stops close to the front of the Hotel which will take to you to Wenceslas Square although the hotel is in easy walking distance of the square. Also a good day out of the city can be had at Kutna Hora where the famous bone church is. Train take 50 mins from main station. Check out Trip Advisor for further details

Perfect for our needs. A central hotel with helpful reception staff at a good price. The room (antique superior room) was nothing special - a 'difficult' guest would have complained that the bed ( two beds pushed together with a double mattress frame perched on top) rocked. We just shrugged and laughed. Room cleaning was not perfect. Breakfast was fine - not what we are used to!! - but fine. Milk and coffee for room needs a specific request at reception. The pick up and drop off to airport organized through the hotel at an extra coat worked perfectly. This hotel is recommended provided that you accept it's limitations - but do keep an eye on your valuables in Prague.

Great value for money, very clean and good location. We didn't use a tram or cab the whole time there. 15 min walk right to the centre if old town, 5-10 to wencelas square. Good breakfast too!

We've reserved room there 2 monthes before arrival, the cost was 56 euros per night per room that was quite low for this period and hotel's location (we've taken superior double room).
If you study the web site of the hotel you will find that it has free transfer from the airport. But to find the driver and the car is not so easy. When you find exit E at terminal 2 you should ask every driver of minibus if he is the driver from the hotel. Because you will not see any plate with logo (I'm sure that the driver does have the plate with logo but it is kept not visible). As the result we've found the driver but when the minibus was already full. So we ouhgt to wait for another car for approximately 15 minutes.
When you do check in do not forget to ask about reception telephone local number and other contact information and wifi passcode because you will not find any information in your room at all.
The room was enough large, it had all facilities that were decribed in promo. The main lack of the room is absence of any near bed carpets.
The noise level was moderate dispite on the trams in the street. The bed was really creacky.
Breakfast was usual, nothing special but good enough for a breakfast.
The room was clean, the cleaning lady was good. The bathroom was equiped with everything exept of toothpaste and toothbrush. Do not expect to see sleepers and bathcoat in the wardrobe of your room. They have only about 50 channels on Czech, Italian, English and German. No Russian channels available.
