This hotel is in a good location, around 15 minutes walk from Old Town Square or a short 5 minute walk to the subway.
Check-in was quick and easy. We arrived at 12pm, a couple of hours earlier than official check-in time but this wasn't a problem. Our room was nicely decorated, included a safe in the wardrobe (which could be paid for at reception, not sure how much as we didn't use it), kettle but strangely only one teabag each (no sugar or milk? so remember to take your own supplies if your bothered about having a hot drink in your room) and a minibar which was well stocked but slightly expensive, as hotel minibars usually are. Even though it was very cold outside, around -5C at night we never felt it in the room, it was always nicely heated, with no noise heard from the road outside or other rooms.
Breakfast was fine, if a little bit strange in some parts. The usual breads/toast, fresh pastries which were good, couple of choices of cereals, yoghurt, then the hot food which was always a bit hit and miss. There was sometimes the usual eggs (either scrambled or boiled), then some kind of meat, like little frankfurter sausages one day, little burger/sausage type patties on another day (which were suprisingly good) but there was always something strange also like broccoli or pickled onions. I've stayed in many European hotels before and spent a while working abroad so am used to the subtle differences in food, especially at breakfast time but this was very strange. I've never seen broccoli served at breakfast before, or pickled onions by the fresh fruit. Saying this though there was always plenty of choice. The only real downside at breakfast was when we went down one morning at 9am and had to que for 15 minutes to get a table. There was no real queing system either as there was no staff member in charge, so we did see a couple of people just walking in and trying to sit down straight away as tables were being cleared, rather than waiting as others were.
Overall this is a good hotel, good location and I would definately stay here again.
There's a lovely cafe/bar just around the corner called 'Globe Cafe' which serves good food and great cocktails. For lunch there's a good restaurant just a few streets away called Kmotra with nice food at good prices.

accomodation is clean and acceptable, breakfast is adequte for starting the day, the hotel sits on a good link for trams and metro, and is in easy walking distance for most of the sights arouund the town. we found the staff very courteous and helpful. the room was kept very well by the chambermaid, all in all the hotel was comfortable. wifi is free and works well. a note of caution for anyone wishing to change moneyi would not recommend that you use any of the street vendors especially western union either go to a bank or use a bank card at one of the many atm's.
transfer from the airport is easy on public transport, the 100 bus directly outside of the terminal takes you to the metroat zlicin (yellow line b) . take metro to karlovo namestri when you come out from here you are 2 .mins walk from hotel tickets when i wrote this are 110cr per day or 320 for three days and cover bus, tram and metro which we thought was excellent value for moneyand thoroughly enjoyed the experience. tickets and maps can be obtained at tourist info at airport.

We have just got back from this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. We upgraded our room to an antique room and it was brilliant at fab value for money. The location was superb only 15 min walk from all the main attractions. The room was cleaned daily, breakfast was great with a variety for all. The hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport and nothing seemed too much trouble. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and cannot think of anything negative about our stay.

Room Tip: Would recommend upgrading to the antique room ,doesn't cost a great deal more but definitely worth it.

My partner and i stayed here at the end of January 2012 . The location is around 20 - 25 minutes drive from airport and the location for all the tourist sites was well in walking distance . The hotel was very clean although smoking is permitted in the bar area . The bar area has 3 pcs for use and free wireless . Totally recommend and we will use again .

Room Tip: Not near the lifts
